A remastered edition of the cult first-person shooter from Iguana Studio, released back in 1997 for Nintendo 64 and PC. The comic book-inspired character of Turok, a Native America named Tal Set, fulfills a centuries-long tradition of his people, serving as Mother Earth's protector from dangers posed by the inhabitants of the Lost Land. When the so-called Campaigner attempts to use an army of modified dinosaurs to conquer the entire universe, the protagonist has to journey across 8 worlds, and find all fragments of an ancient weapon, which is the only chance of defeating the evil. Turok Remastered was designed by Night Dive Studios, who specialize in re-editions of classic games. In terms of game mechanics the title does not differ from the original 1993 game. All changes can be boiled down to increased screen resolution and adjustments necessary for the game to support wide-screen monitors.

A free-to-play two-dimensional platform fighting game from the independent studio Blue Mammoth Games – the creators of a browser MMO game Dungeon Blitz. The production combines elements of 2D fighting games and platformers. Gameplay comes down to engaging in combat on multi-level maps. The fighting system is purely arcade, so what really matters is speed, strength, mastery of combos, and the skillful use of individual abilities of particular characters. The game features dozens of fighters from different epochs and genres – knights, pirates, and even aliens. Each character has a different story and fighting style. Brawhalla features both a single player campaign and multiplayer for up to 8 players. Even though the game utilizes old-school 2D graphics, backgrounds and characters are displayed in high definition.

A remake of Ninja Gaiden — a popular arcade action game, very successful on arcade machines as well as on most major gaming platforms during the late 80s and early 90s — developed with Xbox in mind. In the game, we assume the role of the eponymous warrior named Ryu who seeks revenge on the mysterious organization called Vigoor Empire and its leader, the man responsible for murdering the protagonist’s clan and stealing the magical sword Ryuken. Fighting subsequent hordes of enemies is, as you could expect, the key gameplay element, although the Xbox version, in contrast to the original, offers fully 3D graphics with dynamic camera. The game also comes with a larger arsenal of melee weapons as well as a simple progression system, which allows us to learn new techniques and upgrade our armaments.

Deer Hunter 2016 is yet another game in the Deer Hunter series developed by Glu Mobile. Like the previous installments, Deer Hunter 2016 is a first-person hunting game in which the player hunts various animals: bears, crocodiles, lynx, and others. We have to track the prey down before we can shoot it. You have to take under consideration the fact that some animals are meek and easily-frightened, and others will attack you. Because of that, gameplay is not always the same in Deer Hunter 2016. In their search for more trophies, the players travel to different parts of the world, like Alaska or Zimbabwe. During the hunt, you can use a wide range of munitions. The available hunting rifles can be additionally modified with gun sights, magazines, and other useful upgrades. For a mobile game, Deer Hunter 2016 visuals are quite impressive. Various environments are diversified and quite detailed, and the animal models, and their animation, present a high build quality. Deer Hunter 2016 is a free-to-play game with advertisements and optional microtransactions.

A mobile RPG based on the world and characters featured in Rick and Morty, an animated series broadcasted on Adult Swim (American cable network). Similarly to the original, Pocket Mortys tells the story of a mad alcoholic scientist, Rick Sanchez, and his naive 14-year-old grandson, Mortimer Smith. The plot revolves around Rick's failed experiment that brought creatures from another dimension to Earth, and our task is, obviously, to stop them. The gameplay is a kind of pastiche of the Pokémon series mechanics. The action is observed from an aerial perspective and the game's focuses lie on exploration, undertaking quests, and fighting turn-based battles against various creatures that we add to our collection throughout the entire playthrough. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the creators of Rick and Morty, were involved in the development of the game, thanks to which the unique atmosphere of the original TV series was preserved.

The title of Euclidean Lands refers to the mathematical term of Euclidean space, and we play as a wanderer traversing surrealistic lands made of cubic blocks. During his journey, the protagonist faces various puzzles, most of which come down to correct environment manipulation. We can freely rotate not only whole levels, but also single blocks – like in the Rubik's cube. This allows us to bypass traps, while learning the story, fragments of which have been written in seemingly invisible spots throughout the levels. Aside from that, the game also features turn-based fights with enemies, similar to what we have seen in Lara Croft GO.

A simplistic RTS developed by Flaregames. It is a mobile spin-off to a series of tower defense games created by Subatomic Studios. The game is set in the world known from the previous installments and the player fights servants of a crazy scientist known as Dr. Catastrophe during an extensive story-based campaign. The mechanics combine elements of classic real-time strategy games with some aspects of casual titles for mobile devices, such as Clash of Clans. On one hand, the player is involved in managing their base, gathering resources, constructing new buildings and conducting research on technological improvements. On the other hand, the player trains an army, taking part in subsequent skirmishes against the enemies. During the battles, the player gives orders concerning movement and attack-related options freely, making the game resemble classic real-time strategies in this aspect. The enemy does not remain passive, for they try applying different tactics to make it more difficult for the player to achieve victory.

Children of Zodiarcs is a tactical RPG developed by Cardboard Utopia. The game takes place in a fantasy world ruled by the Torian Empire. The empire owes its power to the titular Zodiarcs, ancient machines that were left behind by a long extinct civilization. We play as a band of thieves caught in the act of robbing one of the nobles. This draws the attention of the guards and other criminal groups, like the Cannibal Clan. Gameplay is based on turn-based combat. The key to success lies in taking advantage of the game's environment and the individual skills of our party members. Almost all of our combat actions are controlled by a deck of cards we collect during our adventures. The effects of our actions can be empowered by throwing dice. We can improve those dice through an advanced crafting system. Children of Zodiarcs allows us to develop our characters in many various ways.

A first-person adventure game developed for VR goggles. Its prototype has been prepared for the VR Jam contest by the Polish Carbon Studio, established by the former employees of Farm51. Inspired by the famous novel by Lewis Carroll, Alice VR is set in a science-fiction world, where we play as a hero whose ship has been forced to land on an unknown planet. He finds out that all of its inhabitants have disappeared, and it is our task to discover the locals’ secrets and shape their future, not to mention solving some puzzles. The game is nonlinear, focusing on exploration and dealing with some puzzles, including riddles inspired by Alice in Wonderland which require us to enlarge and shrink our character. All of this varied by changing gravity, allowing us to move on walls and ceiling.

Arcade, 2D, Indie Games, Ninja, Platformers, Singleplayer.
An old-school 2D platform game developed by Tribute Games, whose best-known work is Mercenary Kings. The main hero of Ninja Senki DX is a warrior named Hayate, who seeks revenge on demons for the death of princess Kinuhime. The protagonists decides to cast aside the iron rules of his clan and set out on a lethal crusade against the residents of the hell, mythological beasts, and other enemies. In terms of gameplay, it is a typical arcade game in which the hero jumps across platforms, collects coins and various power-ups, avoids traps, and deals with enemies using an endless supply of (in this particular case) shurikens. The journey leads him through more and more dangerous enemies. In order to defeat bosses you have to find and take advantage of their weaknesses. The game features simple pixel art graphics, so to resemble classic NES games.

Racing, Simulation Elements, Kart Racing, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Singleplayer.
A sandbox racing game featuring MMO elements and created by Black Delta - an Australian developer. The game is an extension of a students' project called KartSim, which was initiated by Zach Griffin - both a former racer and the founder of the studio. In contrast to the majority of purely arcade karting games, KartKraft places a special emphasis on realism, and faithful recreation of the experience of real karting, including such things as effects of high speeds and various physical forces affecting karts during races, was very important for the creators. The game is a sandbox, thus the player can race without limits on different, scrupulously recreated karting tracks from all over the world. The game features an advanced system of managing both the karts owned and licensed equipment used during races. The multiplayer mode is what really livens the game up, for it allows us to compete against other players. KartKraft gives the players an opportunity to group themselves into professional racing teams as well.

A futuristic racing game developed by Caged Element and a spiritual successor to the once-popular Rollcage series. GRIP takes us to an unspecified period in the future and focuses on brutal racing tournaments of well-armored vehicles; the tradition stems from illegal city racing that was popular in early 21st century. As the sport grew more and more popular the number of modifications in racing cars constantly increased, which translated into significantly better performance for the price of taking incredible risks. In the wake of numerous unsuccessful attempts to eradicate the brutal sport, the authorities eventually admitted their defeat and accepted it as an official sports discipline along with its TV broadcasts. The rules are incredibly simple: the players’ task is to reach the finish line as quickly as possible and preferably in one piece. What differentiates GRIP from traditional racing games is the unique construction of the cars that allows them to drive on nearly all surfaces, including ceilings.

Project Resurgence is an episodic RPG developed by Nectar Game Studios. The game's action takes place in Lumen, a dark fantasy/steampunk world, slowly recovering after a grand cataclysm. Connected by the game's main plot, each episode tells the story of different characters and takes place in a different part of the game's world. The primary source of inspiration for the developers of Project Resurgence were the classic cRPG games from the second half of the 90s. In Project Resurgence, the players control a group of adventurers, recruited from the many available NPCs. Each and everyone of them has a unique personality and talents. There are two combat modes available - turn based and real time with pause. As in every game in the genre, Project Resurgence has a proper character progression and stat systems, but the plot and hard moral choices are the primary focus of the game.
