An original 2D platformer with adventure elements, developed by Gory Detail, an independent studio established by Christopher Seavor, formerly an employee of Rare. The main protagonist is a forgotten and somewhat broken toy resembling a dog that has a wheel instead of paws. The player’s task is to take care of it, which is done in a rather unusual way because we do not have direct control over the toy, but we can influence its behavior by manipulating the environment. The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup is characterized by a pretty dark atmosphere, although not completely devoid of black comedy. On the technical side, the title uses a number of characteristic capabilities of the Nintendo consoles which translates into innovative control solutions, among other things.

Cosmic Star Heroine is an RPG game developed by a small studio called Zeboyd Games. We take on the role of Alyssa L'Salle, one of the galactic government's best agents. Ever since her identity was compromised, she became a point of interest to many organizations she rubbed the wrong way in the past. Our job will be to find the reason behind those events and to unravel a galactic conspiracy Alyssa was unaware of before. Gameplay in Cosmic Star Heroine focuses on exploration and combat. During the turn-based battles we will use a rather unique weapon: a rod that can generate force fields and turn into a rifle. Talking with NPCs and modifying our headquarters also plays an important role in the game. Additionally, Alyssa can recruit agents that will accompany her in her adventures. Cosmic Star Heroine is powered by Unity technology and has 2D pixel-art visuals.

The seventh installment in the cRPG franchise created by Peter Molyneux and his Lionhead Studios. In contrast with the previous, full-fledged chapters of the series, Fable Legends puts less emphasis on the story, instead focusing mainly on multiplayer experience. The game is set in Albion, the realm known from the previous games, which got invaded by mysterious evil forces. Players can side with either good or evil. While playing as a villain, you are trying to prevent heroes from reaching their goal, by setting traps and summoning monsters. If, in turn, you decide to side with the good, you pick one of 4 available heroes, characterized by different abilities, and fight the evil. Fable Legends is powered by the most recent version of Unreal Engine, resulting in high quality visuals.

The fifteenth installment in the Super Mario arcade game series created by Nintendo, and the first one designed for Wii U. In terms of gameplay mechanics the game is a light-hearted 3D platformer, in some moments resembling a classic side-scrolling arcade game. You run through colorful, linear locations filled with obstacles and opponents to beat, as well as simple logic puzzles to solve. At the beginning of each level, you get to pick one of four characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad – each of them has some unique skills. In accordance with the series' tradition, Super Mario 3D World is full of all sorts of collectibles, including the brand new bell, which transforms your character into a cat. This form allows you to move faster, be a more effective fighter, and climb to otherwise inaccessible areas.

The debut project from the independent Spanish studio, Teku, combining elements of a classic platformer with a dynamic action-adventure games. Its plot takes after classic movie and gaming stories, putting us in the shoes of a young shaman student, who has to save the people from his village who were assaulted by the hostile Atipax tribe. We also discover a hidden, dark truth from the past. The gameplay resembles other typical platform-adventure games, with the eponymous candle being a key item, used to find hidden clues and hints. We also have to tend to the fire, as allowing it to go out makes the game much more difficult. The game features very distinctive, artistic visuals, where each element (including animations) was hand-drawn and then scanned.

An unusual adventure game developed by independent studio Deconstructeam. The title focuses on moral dilemmas and the necessity of making choices. During the game, the players control humans that face hard life situations. Their decisions can impact the fate of many people. The player will for example assume the role of a terrorist who must guard a group of hostages or a scientist who has 48 hours to develop an antidote for a deadly virus. The gameplay focuses on interacting with surroundings and solving dilemmas. Each scenario is fully non-lineal and requires not only a different approach, but can be completed in various ways as well. Thanks to the advanced AI system, the characters in the game react dynamically to changing situations and they take various actions that can lead to player’s failure. Old school pixel art graphics are also what makes the game unusual.

An online installment in the strategy game series created in 1991 by a gaming industry legend, Sid Meier. It was developed by XL Games, a South Korean studio. The title combines the classic gameplay mechanics of the franchise with solutions typical of the contemporary MMO productions. The players assume control of one of four different cultures that compete against one another in a procedurally generated and constantly changing world. There are many possible goals to be achieved, and the gameplay itself takes place in sessions that end with a victory of one of the factions. At that point, the game’s universe is reset. You play as Daniel Hanson, a leader of the expedition sent out to explore the eponymous planet Meridian. The game features only a singleplayer mode with a complex story campaign. Between the missions, you can explore the interior of your ship and talk with your crew, while the partially non-linear story unfolds depending on your decisions. The game's mechanics are typical for RTS games and focused mostly on developing your base, gathering resources, and training your units. The gameplay is varied by giving you a lot of freedom in terms of choosing combat strategies, and a wide range of items, thanks to which you can modify your units' abilities. Meridian: New World also features some RPG elements: during the missions, Hanson collects experience points, which you can use to buy new leadership abilities.
