The Wizards is a VR action-adventure game developed by the Polish studio Carbon Studio. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we play as one of the titular mages. Our job will be to travel in time in order to save the Kingdom of Men from the impending doom. We observe the action from a first-person perspective. As we play, we will explore all kinds of diverse locations, where we will face your typical fantasy beasts and enemies. There are many various spells at our disposal, all of them being based on the four elements. We unlock more of them (and upgrade those we already know) as we progress in the game. We will also find Fate Cards as we play. They serve as special modifiers that allow us to adjust the rules of the game to our liking and, for example, change the difficulty level.

A turn-based RPG set in a world taken over by zombies. Dead Age is developed by Silent Dreams, the developer responsible for e.g. The Dark Eye: Skilltree Saga and the Grotesque Tactics series. The player’s objective is make sure a group of survivors remains safe. Gameplay offers freedom, and your decisions lead to one of six alternative endings. At the beginning you arrive at the survivor’s camp, which you need to expand and provide with a substantial amount of resources, like food, medicines, weapons, and building materials. To do so, you have to step outside your shelter and face hordes of zombies and bandits. Combat in Dead Age is turn-based and to some extent resembles that in the Final Fantasy franchise. Relations between characters - friendships, romances, and quarrels - along with alliances with other groups of survivors have an enormous influence on the course of battles. Gameplay is complemented with random missions, NPCs you come across, and the fact that the death of characters is permanent.

A racing game, available in a free-to-play model with micropayments, and an installment of the popular Gameloft mobile series. Asphalt Xtreme leaves the trite asphalt roads, in favor of off-road racing, encompassing environments such as deserts, swamps, icebergs, forests, canyons, or even a steelworking plant. According to the series’ tradition, the game offers a driving model that leans heavily towards arcade style, which allows us to make spectacular acrobatics, and destroy the elements of environment. The players can choose from 35 vehicles, divided into 7 categories, such as off-road jeeps, trucks, monster trucks, or buggies. Thanks to the licenses bought from companies such as Jeep, Ford, Mercedes, Dodge, or Chevrolet, all vehicles are truthful virtual versions of their real life counterparts. The game also offers the ability to customize the visuals, as well as performance of the chosen vehicle. Asphalt Xtreme contains several different single player modes and a multiplayer component for up to 8 players.

An adventure game/visual novel developed by Kadokawa Games. The action of Root Letter takes place in present-day Japan, with players taking control of a thirty-something man who discovers long forgotten letters that he had exchanged fifteen years ago with a penfriend named Aya Fumino. Her last letter contains a murder confession, and states that she has to atone for her sin. After that, she suddenly broke off all contact. One day, our hero decides to learn the truth about the ominous letter, and find Fumino. When it comes to mechanics, Root Letter is similar to classic visual novels, but the players are left with much more opportunities to interact or influence the course of the gameplay, which is further diversified by investigative minigames. A first-person perspective action game with platform features, developed by Swedish studio Landfall Games. In Clustertruck the player is tasked with jumping across the roofs of trucks that drive in a convoy. Each level has its beginning and end, and the objective of the game is to complete the whole track without touching the ground. Despite the simple gameplay rules, as the game progresses the objectives become harder and crazier. The player will face many traps like lasers, giant rocks and giant guillotines. Another thing that makes things harder is the fact that the truck drivers are very bad – collisions and accidents happen frequently and cause the vehicles to explode. The player can enjoy the game longer thanks to the level editor and the endless mode in which he can try to survive for as long as possible.

Strategy, Economic, Internet, Multiplayer, Singleplayer.

A free-to-play mobile economic simulation strategy game developed by Nanoo. In Silicon Valley: Billionaire, we assume the role of a beginner businessman who tries to become the eponymous billionaire in the famous Silicon Valley - the American center of new technologies. We start out as an owner of a small company, and our task is to transform it into a giant that will shake the entire market. To do so, we have to, among other things, develop our headquarters by building new rooms of different purposes, recruit and train employees, and manage both the personnel and the financial side of the entire venture. All of this takes place in a virtual world inhabited by the player community, which allows us to, for example, establish various kinds of cooperation and take over our competitors’ businesses. The game doesn’t take a very serious approach to the subject and is meant to be a humorous production rather than a full-blown economy simulator.

RPG, 2D, Internet, jRPG, Multiplayer, Pokemon, Singleplayer.

A mobile RPG that resembles the famous Pokemon series. The players assume the role of a young boy who intends to become a master monster trainer. In the game, we traverse locations in search of new beasts. The fun boils down to catching encountered creatures and training them to make a team that will then be sent to fight other trainers' creatures. In total, there are over 900 monsters to catch, all divided into several categories (fire, water, shadow, etc.). Strengths and weaknesses of every one of them are based on rock, paper, scissors rules — each creature is especially effective against one kind of enemy and weak against another. Therefore, our team has to be composed in a way that makes it ready for all possibilities. Battles are fought agains AI-controlled opponents as well as other players. Graphics-wise, Neo Monsters resembles other Japanese two-dimensional RPGs. The production features manga style visuals, while the story is told with static dialogue scenes. Neo Monsters is available for a small amount of money but features micropayments.
