An independent adventure game focused on exploration and plot. The title, developed by American studio PostMod, takes the player to an abandoned city, where they are tasked with discovering the reasons why the place became desolated. During the journey the player is looking for answers to philosophical questions related to humans and the choices they make. The action is slow-paced and the gameplay focuses on traveling through half-open levels and interacting with items and witnessed events. The player can explore several paths that don’t intertwine with each other. Because of that, in order to discover all the mysteries of the city, the game must be completed more than once. Although the developers focused on delivering a message through their game, they also made sure the graphics of the experience they created are of decent quality. The game features nice three-dimensional visuals, crated thanks to the unusual style created by lights and shadows. The developers have also included an atmospheric soundtrack created by Simon Heath, a Swedish dark-ambient composer.

The second DLC for 2013's Total War: Rome II (Creative Assembly). The second Punic war is the general theme of the expansion; the conflict between Rome and Carthage took place in the third century BC. Importantly, the war was also a conflict of two outstanding commanders - Scipio Africanus and Hannibal, a sworn enemy of Rome. The expansion brings a new campaign which is set in the western part of the mediterranean basin, in the years 218-202 BC (each year lasts 12 turns). The new map is smaller, but more detailed than in the core game; it comprises 19 provinces in total. Apart from the two main factions, the DLC also offers Syracuse, as well as Iberian tribes - the Arevaci and Lusitani. All of these factions were given their own combat units and technology trees. Additionally, both Rome and Carthage have an additional branch of development, which focuses on diplomacy.

Bear simulator, developed by one-man Farjay studio with the support of Kickstarter’s users. We play as the eponymous bear and are tasked with surviving in unfriendly environment. We explore the game’s open world and get food by catching fishes, stealing honey from beehives, and gathering tasty species of plants. We also make use of our strong paws and claws to clear our way and fight with other animals. Resting in our cave will be necessary to replenish our lost energy. There is also a character development system, with our bear protagonist gaining more strength, vitality, luck, intelligence and other skills which will make surviving easier. The game employs first-person perspective, and its visuals – while rather unimposing – offer a variety of landscapes and include a day and night cycle as well as dynamic weather.

An old school 2D shooter developed by independent studio Roll7, the creators of OlliOlli. In the game, the player assumes the role of a gunman who offers his services to an unorthodox local mayor candidate, the anthropomorphic bunny BunnyLord. The player is tasked with creating a team of tough guys who will clear the city of criminals, one district at a time. During the missions the player assumes the role of various members of the team and completes various tasks received from the BunnyLord. Most of the missions focus on clearing a building of enemies, but there are also more challenging tasks like hacking a terminal or planting explosives. The player can select from various weapons and the choice will determine the play style. Tactical sense, the ability to surprise opponents and hide in surroundings is required for victory as well. The game employs pixel art style similar to games released during the 8-bit era.

A unique fantasy mix of a card game, a board game and an RPG title. We traverse dungeons, fighting monsters and collecting treasures, but not like in typical role-playing games. Everything happens on a virtual table, with us playing a card game in front of The Dealer. We travel through locations by moving a pawn representing our hero on the table and revealing cards that depict enemies, NPCs, locations, and other elements that make our adventure. When we face an enemy, we are taken to a three-dimensional environment and control the hero like in any other TPP action-RPG title. As befits a card game, Hand of Fate isn’t lacking the option of building one’s deck, consisting of parts of equipment, special attacks, and other bonuses gained during game.

The first major standalone expansion for Company of Heroes 2, a popular war strategy game from Relic Entertainment. Contrary to the vanilla game, which focuses on the Russian-German struggle on the Eastern Front, the add-on takes us to the West, letting us assume command over two completely new armies that so far were only available in DLCs. We may lead either the US Army or the German Oberkommando. Each side received new, previously unavailable abilities and enhancements as well as strategic and tactical capabilities. The gameplay was enriched by the introduction of a reworked progression system. There are also new types of units, characteristic of the aforementioned sides of the conflict, to choose from. Despite the fact that The Western Front Armies is dedicated to multiplayer gameplay, it is also possible to compete against the AI.

A third person action-RPG created by Elemental-Labs - an independent developer. Reborn is set in an alternative, cyberpunk vision of 2188's Japan. The protagonist is called Musashi Miyamoto, and he is a futuristic equivalent of a ronin. His main enemy are the Nexus Roku corporation and its female CEO who is trying to release an ancient demon. The game world is dark, full of social inequality and rivaling cartels. What is more, the difference between a human being and a machine is getting more and more difficult to judge as cybernetic implants are spreading throughout the world. The story-based campaign comprises a series of linear missions. However, the game offers a character development system based on levels and experience points. This, along with the possibility to use the previously mentioned implants, is what builds the pillar of freedom offered by this game. Inventory-related aspects have their influence on the gameplay as well, for the player gathers equipment dropped by defeated enemies. Although the player encounters many enemies in the game, open combat is not necessarily the only possible solution, for the protagonist can sneak and perform quick retreats - depending on the tactics applied, relationships with NPCs can develop in different directions. The combat itself is very dynamic and the protagonists main weapon is the katana. Reborn offers multiplayer gameplay for up to four players.

You can play on either of two different biomes featuring maps of 30 square kilometers each. The variety of works performed on the farm justifies the wide array of over 150 licensed vehicles and farming machines available. The 2015 edition introduces a new branch of production – growing fruits – as well as annual growing cycles. The game features enhanced graphics, including thing like visualization of dirt and wearing out of equipment. Finally, the game introduces multiplayer gameplay, in which players can cooperate developing their farm and fulfilling various objectives together.

Its action takes place in an alternative version of Lisbon which is inhabited not only by humans but also by other various, supernatural creatures. The latter have to abide by a special code. Failure to do so alarms special investigators who specialize in such cases. In The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy, we assume the role of Joao Vincente Mendonça (a werewolf detective) and Eurico (a pizza guy, Mendonça’s trainee). Our task is to solve a number of seemingly unconnected cases that with time can be pieced together into a coherent whole which reveals a significantly thicker scheme. The fun is based on exploration of the environment, collecting useful equipment, having conversations with non-player characters, and solving various puzzles. The title is characterized by polished graphics made with the use of the cel-shading technique.

In this mode, the player can enjoy three arcade mini-games, including Laser Dodging, Bullet Mode and Racing.

A classic turn-based RPG in a postapocalyptic setting, and with a strong dash of roguelike elements. Skyshine Games, whose staff worked on the Darksiders series among others, took the reins of the production. The game is set in the distant future, on Earth - a planet destroyed as a result of scientific experiments gone wrong. The surviving life focuses around two metropolitan areas: Byzantium - a decaying city, and the utopian Aztec City. The player assumes the role of the Mechanic who is a successor to the once powerful guild of inventors. Using his armored vehicle called Dozer, the hero wanders the desert collecting raw materials and fighting with numerous enemies, be it bandits, mutants, cyborgs, or robots. The game also features randomly generated plot challenges such as transporting passengers between the cities. The experience we gain by completing these quest enables us to develop the skills of our subordinates and modify our armored vehicle.

In the game the player assumes the role of a night watchman who guards a mysterious factory in shifts with his friend. To kill some time, the protagonist decides to explore the building. He discovers things he would rather not know. As the story progresses, he learns new dark secrets about his working place. The gameplay mechanics combine exploration, puzzle solving and action sequences. There are only a few situations in which the player can die in the game, but the title has a suggestive aura and creates an atmosphere of danger, further increased by the climatic soundtrack. The game has a consequence system as well – each unsuccessful action of the player will impact the story and the further gameplay.

A humorous point-and-click adventure game set in the Stone Age, developed by the well-known authors of many successful adventure titles from Daedalic Entertainment studio. We play as somewhat dull-witted caveman named Ungh, who neglected his duty and let the fire of the tribe to die out. To redeem himself, he must find a new source of the precious element and deliver it to his village. He will traverse many various locations during his journey, like a wild jungle, grasslands and even insides of the volcano. There are also many funny characters he meets, whose helps is necessary to progress with the game. The gameplay is enriched by the addition of day and night cycle that affects the gameplay, as some objects can only be used e.g. in the daylight. Fire offers colorful, cartoonish visuals and a lot of humor.

A multiplayer-focused joke arcade game created by Boneloaf, an indie studio from the Great Britain. More precisely, this is an unusual brawler, in which character physics plays a key role. The gameplay focuses on melee combat, including punching, kicking, throwing your opponents off ledges or pushing them into traps. The game offers several diverse locations, where you can hurt enemies using elements of environment, such as scaffolds, or running trucks, to add to the base moveset. The game’s visuals are minimalistic – the environments comprise of simple, untextured geometric shapes featuring little to no detail. The game offers several modes of local and online competitive multiplayer (solo or in a team). You can also compete against AI or play in the sandbox mode.

Bosses present an even bigger challenge — to defeat them, one must adopt an adequate tactic. The player's character possesses several regular attacks and special abilities that we unlock having acquired a certain amount of experience. The game offers cartoonish 3D graphics, with characters designed by a famous mangaka, Akira Toriyama. Thanks to the 8th-generation consoles' capabilities, the developers introduced previously unavailable visual effects and increased the number of opponents visible on the screen simultaneously.
