A tactical turn-based strategy game set during World War II; it was developed by Cat Rabbit studio, supported by the Slitherine company. Interestingly, the game is a virtual adaptation of a popular board game which came out in 2014. The game is set just after the D-Day, when the Allies landed in Normandy. Three playable armies are at the player's disposal - the Americans, the British and the Germans. Each of the entities involved was given its own in-game story campaign focusing on the titular heroes. Gameplay is turn-based and each of the armies has its own set of unique units, equipment and special abilities in the form of cards one can make use of. The game offers a solo experience and a multiplayer mode, but also a functional editor, allowing the player to create their own maps and armies. Heroes of Normandie comes with relatively simplistic visuals and a hilarious atmosphere.

Players choose one of many available Pokémon, both from old and new generations of the main RPG series, including Lucario, Machamp, Suicune, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Gengar, Weavile, Charizard and Blaziken, among many others. Each uses a different fighting style and unique combos. There are also special combinations of buttons that let us summon another Pokémon as support. Pokkén Tournament lets the player face both artificial intelligence and other people, either through LAN or online.

How to Survive 2 utilizes an isometric view, and a huge part of the gameplay is once again fighting with zombies with the use of various weapons, including handmade ones, crafted from the elements you find in the game. Compared to the original, the game features as expanded multiplayer mode, allowing for camps consisting of up to 16 players, and the co-op mode for up to 4 players.

An unusual logic game developed by a Polish studio Paplus International. The developers were inspired by the popular Monument Valley. The plot of Ghost of Memories tells the story of a lone adventurer who acquires an ancient scepter during one of his travels. The artifact speaks with the voice of a woman trapped inside the scepter’s head. She offers to unlock the powers dormant in the item if the hero decides to free her. Thanks to its power, the traveler can manipulate reality and create inter-dimensional portals, which help him face encountered difficulties and various traps. During the game, we observe the situation from an isometric view, while the player focuses on solving environmental riddles that involve various mechanisms and physical phenomenon, such as optical illusions. The developers prepared a relatively small selection of levels (15 available); however the level of detail and advancement of the encountered puzzles should outweigh even this downside.

Along with the missions, Overkill 3 offers a so-called Endless Mode where we have to stand against our enemies as long as possible and a two-player coop.

As can easily be imagined, the main highlight of Rugby World Cup 15 is the titular world championship, allowing us to play as one of the twenty leading rugby teams, leading them through eliminations, the main competition, and the grand finale. Similarly to the previous installments, the game includes faithfully recreated stadiums, and licensed teams with real player names, outfits, and national anthems.

A retro-futuristic platformer game by Cococucumber, an independent Canadian studio. In Planet of the Eyes, we assume the role of a robot who crash-lands on a completely alien planet after the malfunction of an interstellar shuttle. Trying to find a way out of the situation, the protagonist explores the beautiful but also incredibly dangerous place where a myriad of logic puzzles and complicated traps await him. Mechanics-wise, the game somewhat resembles the cult Limbo. While playing, we move mostly to the right and face challenges created by the developers. Sooner or later we will witness various variants of the hero’s death, but the production was designed is a way that doesn’t frustrate players and can be completed in 2-5 hours (depending on our skills).

However, it doesn’t change the game mechanics, as we once again play a roguelike arcade title, exploring randomly generated locations, discovering secrets and fighting enemies. The gameplay is diversified with additional content in the form of new character, Lilith, new monsters and bosses, as well as previously unavailable items, challenges and locations. What's more, the DLC also modified the interface and expanded the soundtrack. Lastly, players received a new game mode called Greed Mode, in which they take great risks to obtain unique rewards.

You characters has a range of characteristics and abilities, which are used when calculating the probability of success of your actions.

An unusual 3D platformer game based on physics. It was developed by Prospect Games, studio whose employees co-created such games as GRID 2, DiRT Rally, and LEGO Jurassic World. In Unbox, we assume the role of self-delivering cardboard boxes, and our task is to test this revolutionary courier technology in all possible ways. The traditional mechanics of 3D platformer titles are complemented by elements of several other genres, including logic, action, racing, and even fighting games. The core of the gameplay is the use of physical properties of a cardboard boxes, though; they can roll and jump as well as utilize several kinds of weapons. Every box can also be customized with unlockable skins and accessories. Unbox offers a single player as well as a split-screen multiplayer mode for up to four players. Thanks to the utilization of Unreal Engine 4, Unbox has detailed graphics (for a production of this kind) as well as an advanced physics engine.

An independent arcade game developed for Xbox One and local area network multiplayer. The players assume the role of ninjas fighting each other for life and death. Available modes for two teams of two players feature a mix of Capture the Flag and Assassination, in which ninjas try to kill rival’s Shogun and protect their own. Other two game variants put all players against each other: Deathtrace (in which the objective is to survive as long as possible) and Mirror Match (in which the player controls five ninjas at the same time. SlashDash presents world from a top-down perspective. In battles, the player can use nine unique weapons, which are unlocked by progressing through the game. Maps are interactive and filled with destructible objects, and the gameplay is very fast-paced. While its two-dimensional visuals are simple, they consist of many actual elements from the Edo period.

An unusual arcade game from the South Korean studio Bulosodeuk. The story focuses on items that have spent too much time on the shelves of One Hundred Denarii shop. They come to life after the owner leaves and share with each other the stories about their previous incarnations. This lets us follow a pot which used to be a shuriken or a cleaver that was made out of a ball’s remains. Redden presents the players with 33 locations from various historical periods, with each mission starting with a shot bullet that we control. Our task is to avoid obstacles by using wind and accelerating. Even though our main objective is to reach the end of the level and destroy certain object, there are also optional objects to destroy, as well as characters that we don’t have to kill. Each type of bullet has different properties in the form of special powers that can make our task easier. All of this is presented in pleasant, two-dimensional visuals, which are quite unique due to their colorful backgrounds that contrast with black objects in the foreground.

The add-on features 132 new cards, introducing new weapons and spells as well as additional minions (e.g. Maiden of the Lake, Chillmaw or Frost Giant). A brand new feature, Inspiration, was added to the game mechanics; it consists in the fact that if there is a minion with this keyword on the table, a special effect will be activated each time the controlling hero uses their Hero Power. The Grand Tournament features also a new battlefield, enriched with additional objects, new card back as well as new rewards available in the Arena. Expansion can be purchased either for real money or for the game's virtual currency.

Espionage isn’t limited to The Forgotten – all factions have access to it to some degree. An action game created by RECO Technology, an independent Spanish studio known for Toro. The players enter a fantasy universe inhabited by humanoid vegetables. Main heroes – Broccoli Joe and Kaoru Tamanegi – embark on a dangerous journey to find and defeat Kaoru’s former master, who has gone to the dark side. In Yasai Ninja, action is seen from a third-person perspective, while the gameplay is built around combat with numerous enemies and simple environmental puzzles. During the gameplay, the player controls only one of the heroes, but he can switch to the other character at any time. The protagonists are given a set of attacks and special abilities, employing them to defeat numerous enemies as well as occasional bosses, which require employing special tactics for the player to emerge victorious. The gameplay is complemented by a soundtrack based on Asian motifs and cartoonish visuals.

The gameplay resembles a game of hide-and-seek, because the players are not equipped with any weapons, and the only way they can achieve something is through interaction with the environment. The ghosts have to eliminate everyone who has entered the house, the undesired visitors, on the other hand, need to stay hidden or run for their lives if necessary.

While playing, we will have to gather resources, fight alien races, search for artifacts of long-dead civilizations, and cope with various random events. The second expansion pack for Battlefield Hardline, developed by Visceral Games. The form of the second expansion remains unchanged; its main feature is the addition of several new multiplayer maps, namely The Docks, Museum, Break Point, and Precinct 7. Apart from that, a new game mode has been added - Squad Heist, which based on the Squad Rush mode from Battlefield 4. In this mode, ten players divided into two teams compete against one another. The robbers' goal is first to gather adequate tools, and then break into a specific, heavily-guarded place while grabbing everything they can take. The last part is the getaway. Of course, the cops' job is to prevent all of this from happening. Another DLC to a best-selling sandbox survival game - Don’t Starve. Unlike the previous two add-ons, this one was developed not by the original creators, but by Capybara Games - the team known for such games as Below or Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery. Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked focuses solely on single player content, drawing inspiration from the cult adventure novels, such as Robinson Crusoe. However, these were enriched with fantasy elements and a unique sense of humor. The expansion introduces new locations, characters, enemies, and weather effects. Additionally, the game lets you use a boat and sail around the sea dotted by numerous islands. In terms of audiovisuals, the add-on is on par with the base game. Although it includes a big chunk of new graphic elements, they match the original style.

The next big expansion pack for The Sims 4, a game released by EA company in September 2014. Just like the previously released Get to Work pack, Get Together does not change the gameplay itself, but introduces new activities, this time focusing on social features. Players and their sims visit a place called Windenburg, heavily inspired by the European style of architecture, where many attractions await them, including hedge mazes, old ruins, and beautiful ponds. There are also places like cafes, pubs, or dance clubs, where the can sims get together and meet new people. Moreover, the add-on features a plenty of new activities, e.g. bonfires, football matches, or dance parties. Sims can also create and join groups. As always, the expansion comes with some minor extras, such as new clothing and furniture.

A mobile top-down shooter game, inspired by classic arcade hits of the late 1980s and developed by Samurai Games. The game's name was inspired by the codename of a World War II military operation. The game is a typical representative of the bullet hell shooter and focuses on exterminating waves of enemies, which always greatly outnumber you. The pace of the game is incredibly fast and to survive you need good reflexes. What helps is a wide range of weapons your ship is equipped with. There are three playable characters to choose from and one bonus character — Count Dracula himself. The foes, apart from the standard cannon fodder, also include nine challenging boss enemies. After completing the game, you can participate in a range of extra highly difficult challenges.

A 2D arcade platformer game with hack’n’slash elements, developed by the indie studio Zoink Games, best known for its highly-absurd production Stick it to the Man!. The action of Zombie Vikings begins in the moment when the mischievous god Loki decides to steal the last, magical eye of Odin, who in turn resurrects four disgusting zombie-Vikings and tasks them with reclaiming the stolen item. In the game we can play the role of one of the four playable characters, each of which has different skills at their disposal; the skills can also be upgraded by means of special runes. The heroes can choose from a sizeable arsenal of around 40 weapon types, which are differentiated not only by their unique names but also their usage (e.g. the ability to use vomiting or chopped off heads of enemies). Zombie Vikings is filled with irrational, absurd comedy and is most enjoyable when played in local co-op mode, in which the players can combine their characters into one, giant zombie-Viking.

A new installment in a popular series of turn-based games, created as a joint effort of Byzantine Games and The Lords Games. The game takes us to Europe during the age of pike and shot (1494 – 1698), introducing three separate campaigns encompassing 40 historical battles from the Thirty Years’ War, the English Civil War, and the series of conflicts between Austria and Ottoman Empire, including Siege of Vienna. Additionally, the game introduces a “skirmish” mode which creates a fictional campaign taking place on randomly generated maps. The gameplay in Pike and Shot: Campaigns 1494-1698 does not differ much from its predecessor. Players control a chosen nation, engaging in tactical battles requiring a number of strategic decisions which can influence the course of the whole campaign. Victories, as well as defeats contribute to mental state and battle readiness of our soldiers. Aside from a single player mode, the developers introduced a multiplayer module employing PBEM++ system. The game employs high-quality visuals, inspired by battle scenes from that era.
