A dynamic twin-stick shooter developed by Facepunch. The players assume control of various spaceships, traversing randomly-generated locations and taking part in various missions. Riftlight introduces several different types of ships: from the most versatile, useful in short and long-range combat, through a ship without projectile weapons, armed only with a laser beam, up to a mage equivalent. The gameplay is enriched with numerous elements taken from the RPG genre – the game allows us to amass experience points and advance to higher experience levels. Each class has its own set of abilities, enabling us to spend our newly acquired points on abilities and special powers. Aside from that, we can gather items that can be used during combat. Aside from the single player campaign, the game contains a cooperation mode.

A first person shooter created by RedBedlam - an independent developer. The game is based on a book under the same title, written by Christopher Brookmyre. The player takes on the role of Heather Quinn (aka Athena) - a scientist who decides to take part in an experiment that involves brain scanning. Once the protagonist has her brain scanned, she gets transferred into the world of a game Starfire, and a both mysterious and dangerous organization known as Integrity begins a hunt for the protagonist. Heather will have to run from the agents sent after her, but also find the cause of this unusual situation and a way out of the virtual universe. The player is taken on a sentimental journey across the history of gaming - the creators were inspired by the most popular FPS games, platformers and real-time strategies from the 1990s, such as Doom or Wolfenstein 3D. The inspirations are visible in level design, mechanics, and available weaponry. The same applies to the old-school visuals Bedlam The Game comes with.

A shooter from Arena FPS genre developed by the German studio Reakktor Media and inspired by FPP shooters from the 90s. The story of TOXIKK takes place in the 22nd century, when mega-corporations and cartels took over the Earth after a global energy crisis. Two of such companies play major role in the game: EXOCOM and DRAYOS, competing for EDEN – a recently discovered mineral that can remedy the energy problems of the world. Gameplay is reminiscent of a mix of Unreal Tournament and the Halo series, with two types of maps: Classic (fast-paced battles for 8 players) or Massive (more tactical skirmishes for 16 people). In dynamic battles, we can use 9 different guns which can be found on maps, each with two firing modes. Thanks to the purely aesthetic character of the customization system, the game is fair and highlights the individual skills of each player.

An expansion for the 2013’s grand strategy game, Europa Universalis IV. The developers introduced a number of additional tools that allow the players to manage their nation and influence its further development and fate. One of the most noteworthy elements is the possibility of increasing influence in the Merchant Republic by establishing trading posts and using the factions’ internal conflicts in the course of the new election events. The expansion also offers a new government system, republican dictatorship, and a new faction system that allows us to gain valuable bonuses. Moreover, the novelties include the ability to support heirs in elective monarchies and the new option of spending points on administrative, diplomatic, and military affairs. The add-on comes with a set of previously unavailable historical events that make for the action’s background.

The continuation of the console hit titled Afro Samurai, based on a manga written and illustrated by Takashi Okazaki. The indie studio Redacted, established by David Robinson, the co-creator of the original game, is responsible for the development of the production. The storyline involves a completely fresh story, focused on the character of Kuma. During the playthrough we have the opportunity to play the roles of several, diverse characters, including Afro, who was also featured in the previous installment of the production. When it comes to the mechanics the game, it is still a rather typical hack’n’slash, which revolves around brutal and spectacular duels, fought with deadly, samurai weapons. The continuation does not lack in the terms of standard elements of the series, including platformer elements and an advanced combat system, which allows the player to perform extremely impressive moves and precise sword strikes. The visuals have been kept in the same style as those of the predecessor, however, unlike in the original Afro Samurai, the sequel allows us to enjoy the game in co-op mode.
