A continuation of the famous combat flight simulator series, Il-2 Sturmovik, developed, like the previous installment in the series, by the team at 777, working under the aegis of 1C Company. As the subtitle suggests, the action of the game once again takes us to the Eastern Front during the World War II, where we are involved in key air operations of the turn of 1941 and 1942, including the eponymous battle of Moscow. In terms of mechanics the game does not introduce any changes when compared with its predecessor released year and a half earlier, offering a somewhat simplified model of control. During the game we can join one of the parties of the conflict (Russians or Germans), each providing us eight brand new machines, including: I-16 type 24, MiG-3, Il-2 model 1941, and Pe-2 35 series (the Russian side) and Bf 109 E-7, Bf 109 F-2, Bf 110 E-2, and Ju 88 A-4 (German side). The game also offers the option to unlock additional aircraft for a fee.

A World War II-themed online strategy game developed by KAVA Game Studio. The players assume control of a number of four-man teams that are sent to participate in a battle between two factions. Each faction is led by a commander that coordinates the actions of the teams and decides upon their course of action. In opposition to most online strategy games, the battlefield can be joined by up to fifty players at once, with the game allowing 1v1 battles, which are also a viable option. Depending on the chosen side, our goals may slightly differ, but close cooperation and tactical approach are definitely the mainstay of almost every won battle. The battlefield is seen from an isometric view, with additional points of view available to the commander of each side.

A mobile adaptation of a tabletop board game. It was inspired by the story titled “Festival” by Howard Philips Lovecraft, one of the first stories in the so-called Cthulhu Mythos. The game is set in the harbor town of Kingsport, where a mysterious ritual, which summons cosmic horrors, takes place once in every hundred years. You play as the cult leaders overseeing the ritual. Their task is to collect spells and artifacts that will allow them to conquer the port and defeat their enemies. During the game, they also use old books that allow them to cast dangerous spells and conjure comic horrors, which provide them with magical gifts. The presence of those entities, however, can cause madness, so you have to use their support sparingly. At the same time, you need to be wary of law enforcement officers, who want to capture the cultists before they plunge the city into chaos.

A third-person shooter game based on the free-to-play business model. In Gear Up, the players get to pilot battle machines constructedby themselves and participate in dynamic battles waged across visually diverse arenas. Upon starting the game, one has to create his own machine using a basic, yet broad range of components. The player can decide on the appearance of his machine as well as the weapons, mobility (choosing from wheels, crawler tracks, mechanical limbs, etc.), and bonuses that their mech will be equipped with on the battlefield. As the options are nearly limitless, is it very difficult to encounter an identical machine, which results in fresh, very replayable, and dynamic battles that emphasize the arcade aspects of the game. The players are given three game modes (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Conquest), which simultaneously can be enjoyed by up to 16 players. As one progresses through the game, they unlock new components and warehouse slots to improve their battle machine. The player is bound to appreciate the 3D cartoonish visuals based on the proprietary Traktor engine.

The locations we explore are filled with traps and, from time to time, we will have to face a powerful boss. Luckily for us, our hero is not completely defenseless. He can rely on his exceptional agility and use many items scattered around the game locations, i.e. bombs, which can be used to reach previously inaccessible places. Spelunker Z offers a multiplayer mode for a couple of players and customization mechanics which allow us to buy and change our hero's hat, pants, or shirt.

The Sims 4: Get to Work is the first big expansion to the fourth game in The Sims series owned and developed by EA Maxis since 2000. Just like the add-ons to the previous games from the series, Get to Work introduces new features to the base game, focusing on the work aspect of our Sims' life. There are three possible career paths available: police officer, scientist, and a doctor. Like in real life, we begin as a regular employee and climb the career ladder until we get what we want. Along with the new professions, EA Maxis introduced new buildings, like the hospital, police station, or a laboratory. Two new skills for our Sims were also added (photography and baking), which we can use, for example, to start our own business. The presence of Aliens makes the game a bit more interesting. They hide among the Sims, and when we discover their real identity, we can travel to a mysterious world.

A mobile real-time strategy game and the first production by Substantial Games. The Ember Conflict is set in a fantasy land, but unlike many similar games, it does not feature a story campaign, focusing entirely on multiplayer battles (one-on-one and two-on-two). The battles are short, up to several minutes long. The controls in The Ember Conflict are gesture-based, and you lead your troops by drawing lines on the screen. You can lead a group of up to six characters, and you choose them from eighteen available types. To make things more interesting, you can modify their equipment. The battles take place on detailed 3D maps, and to win you often have to take the topography into account. It should be noted that soon after the game's release, Substantial Games was dissolved and the game servers have been closed.

To achieve that, you have to complete a range of levels and use the protagonist's unusual powers, which allow him to change into five kinds of beings — you use their abilities both when fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Although Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom references popular 1980s platform games, there are also role-playing elements. The game features oldschool 2D visuals, resembling legendary 16-bit productions.

The fourth expansion to a first-person survival horror - Alien: Isolation, developed by Creative Assembly. Like the previous expansion to the game (Safe Heaven), the Lost Contact DLC is a variation of the game’s Survivor Mode. However, in this particular DLC, the player returns to the Sebastopol space station and assumes the role of Axel. Gameplay mechanics build on the exploration of a new map, which now includes private Lorenz quarters and the station’s backup power generator area. The mission introduced by Lost Contact is divided into 10 challenges and features significantly higher difficulty level resulting from the fact that this time around the players have to fight off enemy waves of androids, humans and the Alien itself. In comparison the previous Alien: Isolation expansions, Lost Contact significantly stands out - during the mission, players have a lot of ground to cover. Moreover, should one fall in battle, he has to start all over, since he failed to complete the task he was assigned with. What makes it all slightly easier is the ability to construct useful items - this includes some new weapons such as a revolver or a crossbow. For completing this new mission, a player is rewarded with various items and perks.

Space economic strategy with simulation elements, implementing an old-school pixel-art graphic style, and the debut production of independent American studio ArithmeBit. During the game, we control a fleet of spaceships, traversing the vast, open world, discovering new planets, and fighting with encountered opponents. Developers have left players a lot of choice in taking various activities and choosing a career. Authors also provided them with the ability to land on planet surfaces in order to obtain raw materials or capture unknown fauna species. During the game, we unlock a number of technologies, allowing modifications of our ships and space stations. We can also assign additional tasks to individual members of the crew who can develop their skills and learn new roles in the course of the game. Spacewrights offers a narrative campaign for single player as well as a survival mode and cross-platform multiplayer.

A humorous 2D arcade game, blending three genres: platform, shooter, and logic puzzle. It was developed by Nitrome. The production features a wacky vision of the future, in which people use metal boxes to travel — such a box moves by rolling from side to side and would be useless were it not for a special powerful cannon. A properly used cannon is not just a great weapon to use against such foes as nosy policemen and mutants, but also a tool for pressing buttons and unlocking seemingly blocked passages. It can also be used to jump and glide through the air. In each of several dozens of levels your task is to get to the finish line in one piece. The gameplay also features easy puzzles, and interesting and amusing boss battles. Gunbrick features pleasant 2D visuals and a soundtrack composed by Erik Suhrke.

A successful combination of an RPG and a match-three puzzler - Hero Emblems is a game set in a fantastical world facing destruction. It can be saved by only four daredevils, who continue the legacy of old heroes, maintaining the peace and order all over the world. They have to use the force locked in four magic artifacts in order to stop the god of evil returning life. In Hero Emblems, the player has to fight groups of opponents and powerful bosses. Combat is turn-based and performing an action – e.g. launching an attack, activating defensive techniques, selecting a special ability, and healing others – is possible after joining a group of same objects set on the board composed of 56 fields. The enemies are very diversified and unique, making the gameplay entertaining. In between the battles, one can explore the in-game world, interact with NPCs, and develop their characters.
