A text-based science-fiction adventure game from SNK Productions, loosely related to the previous games from the 2002’s series of Space Rangers. It tells a story of mysterious threat that can eradicate all living creatures in galaxy. We play as a space pilot that tries to find out the source of this danger and stop it. We travel across many parts of galaxy, completing plot quests. Gameplay doesn’t differ from the genre’s formula: all events, dialogues and even combat take form of text, while the player chooses one of the available choices or answers to progress the plot. Unlike typical gamebooks, however, the Space Rangers: Quest offers attractive visuals.

A sequel to the 2015 game Dreamals, a logic puzzle platform game by XINESS. You take control of a group of animals, each of which can only move in one direction. This time, the game features over a hundred levels set in varied environments and increasing level of difficulty. It is also once again possible to merge two animals into one creature. However, in Dreamals: Dream Quest you can also split the animals back, which allowed for the inclusion of more complex puzzles. In each level, you have to reach the key, which opens the passage to the next stage. Dreamals: Dream Quest utilizes the technology created for its predecessor, and the cartoonish 2D visuals are still pleasant.

An original combination of strategy and arcade games, delivered by Hypersect - an independent developer. The players assume the role of white and black vehicles that move on the surface of a monochromatic map resembling a chessboard. What is the most important here, the machines can remain only on squares of the opposite color - the missiles they launch change the color of the squares they hit, creating paths the vehicles can take. Apart from that, enemies using the same kind of weapon can be found throughout the levels. Therefore, the player has to constantly remain in control of the situation, preventing the enemy from both hitting the player's machine and cutting off its escape route. The game offers both single player and multiplayer modes - in the latter case, both co-op and competitive modes were included. What is characteristic about Inversus, is that the game's 2D visuals are minimalistic, which makes it easier to control the battlefield.

A completely free, standalone expansion for Stasis – a dark science-fiction adventure game released in 2015. The plot of Cayne references the base game in a number of ways, but without spoiling it, so players new to the series can also experience the title in full. Story introduces a pregnant woman named Hadle, who wakes up in an obscure medical facility, where unknown men want to take her baby away. As can easily be imagined, the player’s objective is to make sure that this doesn’t happen. The gameplay is exactly the same as in Stasis, so we are looking at a classic adventure game, seen from an isometric view. During the campaign, designed to last for roughly 1.5 hour, we are mainly occupied with exploration of new locations and searching for items, which are necessary to solve the problems turning up along the way. From the audio-visual side, the game relies on the same, albeit beefed up, visuals. Nonetheless, Cayne has a completely new soundtrack, composed by Ivo Sadiski.

An action-adventure game with metroidvania features. The player assumes the role of a muse, one of the goddesses of fine arts from the Greek mythology – the main protagonist is tasked with finding inspiration for the female writer who asked her for help in writing a new book. In order to complete this objective, the protagonist will travel through a fantasy, fairy-tale world, face various dangers and solve numerous environmental riddles. What makes Epistory – Typing Chronicles unique in comparison to other games are the mechanics based on the player typing specific words on the keyboard. By doing so the player can fight the encountered enemies, cast elemental spells and interact with the game world. The game was developed in many language versions and varied difficulty levels allow us to choose the appropriate complication level of words and endurance of the opponents. The game has a nicely looking graphics – the character models, enemies and surrounding elements look as if they were made of paper. The title features an original, fairytale-like soundtrack.

Another installment in the popular logic puzzle/arcade game by Finnish studio Rovio. Angry Birds Evolution doesn't feature a complex story campaign: the game is set on a bird island, where the pigs arrive, and your task is to drive them off. The gameplay consists of battles between the two hostile teams. After launching your characters in a way that is distinct for the series, they roll on the floor, eliminating enemies and bouncing off everything in their way. While the basics of the gameplay seem easy, matters are complicated by the design of the levels, which are small and full of obstacles and various interactive elements, e.g. exploding crates. The gameplay is varied thanks to special abilities, which give every bird three unique attacks each. It provides a motivation for unlocking more characters — the game features over 300 of them, and each of them can be upgraded and developed further.

The whole game is filled with dark humor. Our heroes gradually learn more powerful spells, but, as they don't care much about safety, their actions very often have devastating results for the third parties. Nine Parchments works like a shooter game in terms of mechanics. The action is presented from an isometric point of view and gameplay focuses on eliminating our enemies with spells. The debut of a French developer known as Too Kind. The game is a two-dimensional platformer and was funded on Kickstarter. The plot in Pankapu was divided into two branches. On one hand, the game tells a story of the brave warrior Pankapu - as told by a father reading this story to his child, Jaha'rell. The actual gameplay is rooted in that story, for the player assumes the role of said warrior, who was created by the god of dreams in order to eradicate the nightmares invading this world. On the other hand, the player gets acquainted with a dark story of Jaha'rell, though in this case, the player does not have any direct influence on the course of events. In terms of the mechanics, the game is a classic action-platformer, requiring the player to explore subsequent locations, avoid various traps and fight nightmares. The protagonist's main weapon is a sword, but Pankapu can also transform, gaining access to unique attacks.

A first person adventure game featuring some exploration elements, developed by British Pixel Spill. The game takes players to an alternative version of the 1980s - the main protagonist is an astronaut tasked with a peculiar investigation. He is to discover the secret behind the lost communications with a Soviet space station. Upon reaching the place, our character quickly discovers that the crew have vanished. To make things even worse, many of the station’s systems are in a miserable condition. As one might easily guess, it is none other than the main protagonist, who has to solve the mystery of whatever happened. Gameplay revolves around the exploration of the space station, which is even more attractive due to the zero gravity mechanics. During the game, one has to gather clues and pieces of evidence that gradually reveal the pieces of the storyline puzzle. Occasionally, players will face some logical puzzles as well. The entire experience features 3D visuals - what is worth noticing, all the items, paintings and structures are modeled after their real counterparts from the 1980s. Whenever that was not possible (e.g. due to a fantastical nature of the items in the game), the objects were modeled to feature similar aesthetic.

A real-time strategy created by CyberphobX studio. The player assumes the role of Harvey Croft, a rookie police commander whose main task is to capture the mysterious leader of a crime syndicate called Imperio. The gameplay is comprised of managing the precinct, coordinating individual officer's actions, and generally-understood crime fighting on the streets of fictional city of Newport Falls. The last goal is possible thanks to obtaining evidence and using it to find the culprits. In Police Tactics: Imperio, budget and resource control are of primary concern. By racking up high-profile arrests, the player unlocks new precincts, units, and upgrades. Our subordinates get promoted to officers, or detectives, and as the time goes, we upgrade our garage with new police cars, or even helicopters which allow for better access to crime scenes. An interesting aspect of the game is the presence of German and American police cars. Additionally, the news about events in the game world are relayed by a radio, modeled after similar devices used by American law officers.

Racing, Internet, Multiplayer, NASCAR, Cars, Singleplayer.
Another installment in the racing series developed by Monster Games - a reboot of the popular series started by the 2000's NASCAR Heat. The game does not introduce any significant changes to the gameplay mechanics, and the player once again gets to participate in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and race on over twenty real-life tracks from the 2017 season. The gameplay builds on an elaborate career mode, in which the player not only has to win consecutive races but also manage their racing team. Developers did not forget about the multiplayer mode. Because of the possibility to chose between the arcade and simulation-like driving model, both the seasoned and beginning players can participate in the races. Similarly to the previous installments, the game acquired many official sponsors, thus NASCAR Heat 2 features real teams and racers.

Aporia: Beyond The Valley is a first-person exploration adventure game developed by the Dutch studio Investigate North. The game takes place in a mysterious Ez'rat Qin valley that once was the home of a great civilization. Now, only ruins remain there. Our hero wakes up after hundreds of years of slumber, suffering from amnesia. His task is to find out the truth about himself and his old world's past. We observe the game from a first-person perspective. Gameplay focuses on exploration and gathering clues that will help us find the answers to our questions. The game emphasizes riddles and puzzles. Many times we will have to figure out how a certain mechanism works or find a way to avoid or neutralize a trap before will be able to solve one of them. The game is rather nonlinear and the plot is told visually, so we will not hear or read any texts or dialogues.

Puzzle, Arcade Elements, Indie Games, Co-op, Multiplayer, For 2 Players, Splitscreen, Singleplayer.
A logic game with arcade elements, which lets you play with some virtual clay. You play from a perspective of a child, spending time in his or her room on viewing an amazing book. Each of its pages is a new world built entirely of clay. In-game levels offer a variety of action/logic challenges, most of which are based on the physics of objects – the engine mimics the movement of clay objects quite realistically. In order to solve puzzles, you must properly terraform lands and reshape some structures, move smaller objects or mould them into something else (e.g. turn a small ball into a piece of Swiss cheese or a gingerbread man), as well as control a variety of vehicles. Claybook is very forgiving, letting you rewind time in order to fix your mistakes. Apart from solo play, the game offers co-op mode for up to four people. You can also build your own levels thanks to the in-built editor. The game’s light-hearted atmosphere is reflected by its colorful 3D graphics and pleasant audio.

Strategy, City Builder, Fantasy, Indie Games, Singleplayer, The Middle Ages.
An economic strategy game from the so-called city builder genre, created by a small studio Sergio & Simon. The game is set in a medieval fantasy world that is randomly generated. In Hearthlands we play as a ruler of a small kingdom who basically owns only the lands around their castle. Our goal is to develop our fief and make sure that our people are safe and live in prosperity. In order to do that we construct new buildings, make sure that goods are distributed properly, and research new technologies. Freedom that the gameplay offers is this game's strong point. It allows us to turn our city into a true stronghold, a trading metropolis or a small town, whose main source of income is fishing. If we can't have good relations with our neighbors, we need to have a strong army which can consist of our citizen or, what is typical for this genre, heroes. However, in order to craft equipment we need to have a sufficient amount of resources.

Another projection of Miniclip from a series of simple arcade games with sports theme, focused on competition between players. In the game we can play in two different modes, such as a basketball throw competition and a classic one-on-one duel to one basket. All the fun takes place in a fully three-dimensional environment.
