Set in a fairy tale-like world, Toren is an action game developed by Swordtales, an indie studio from Brazil. We play as a princess who was imprisoned in a tower, and our job is to escape. That task may not be as easy as one might think. We will have to face many obstacles, from platform elements to battles with various tough enemies. However, a flying dragon-like creature is our biggest opponent here. It tries to keep us inside the tower. Toren's plot structure is built like an epic poem, which also tells the story of a knight who journeys through a desert to reach the same tower in which our princess is imprisoned in. The game brings up some serious subjects, like the meaning of life, or the unforgiving flow of time.

A browser MMO strategy game and a sequel to the popular production from Inno Games studio. Once again we are taken to a medieval setting, with our task being to build a small village and develop it to a size of a fortified town. This requires us to secure our access to resources and recruit strong army to raid or conquer enemy’s settlements. The core of the gameplay is the idea of players banding themselves into eponymous tribes, making waging war and expanding territory much easier. Game mechanics have remained unchanged, though visuals and user interface have been slightly improved. The developers also made sure to offer new structures to build (hospital, tavern, and monastery) and introduce two types of units. As its predecessor, the game is distributed using a free-to-play model, supported with microtranscations.

The gameplay of Formicide is very similar to the famed Worms series, with a small exception – the game is much more dynamic, as the combat takes place in real time rather than in a turn-based system. We are left with a few typical game modes and numerous two-dimensional, terraformable zones. Our job is to defeat the ants led by our opponent, which unexpectedly is not that simple of a task. The insects are very agile, while the available weaponry, including rifles, rocket launchers, or flamethrowers, offer a variety of tactics and approaches to each situation. The game supports fan-made content, including maps, weaponry, or the appearance of the ants.
