A free expansion to Shovel Knight, a well-received platform title developed by Yacht Club Games. This time, the players received a completely new hero – Plague Knight, who is known for being one of the antagonists in the base game. After his defeat at the hands of Shovel Knight, the fledging protagonist decides to leave his former allies and embark on a journey in search of ingredients necessary for creation of a mysterious, powerful potion. The gameplay of Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is almost completely the same as its predecessor. We are given a mix of an action game, RPG, and a platform game – the game focuses on exploration of two-dimensional levels, and facing the encountered enemies. The new hero forces the players to develop completely new tactics – even if most of the journey takes place in reused locations, the new hero is not equipped with the trademark shovel – he makes use of bombs and short-distance flying. The list of novelties is complemented by new enemies and bosses.

Created by Blazing Badger, AIPD is a co-op top-down twin-stick shooter resembling the classic arcade hits from the 80s. In the game you control futuristic police ships. Within limited time you have to destroy as many increasingly stronger enemies as you can. You can modify your ship between the missions, adjusting not only its appearance, but also parameters such as agility, firepower, or shields. The game's numerous challenges and game modes are generated randomly and, due to the loads of possible combinations of enemies and world variations, each level is unique. The visuals of AIPD make use of the contrast between black background and the vivid, flashy colors, employing an entire palette of modern visual effects.

A roguelike action RPG developed by Socialspiel Entertainment together with the established Nexon company. In Legacy Quest, we lead a team of brave warriors who explore a typical fantasy land full of dungeons and with a myriad of enemies to defeat. The game is played from an isometric view, and the gameplay resembles a typical hack ‘n’ slash production, focusing on elimination of hordes of enemies with the use of purely arcade combat model. What’s interesting, we can create each party member, as well as the vast majority of their equipment, from scratch, using an extensive crafting system. The game does not lack for a typical character development system, but, as befits a roguelike title, death is permanent for all heroes. If one of them perishes, his or her equipment is also gone. However, it stays in the game world and can be found and used by other players.

A clicker and role-playing game hybrid by Daniel Hjelm from VaragtP. The game is set in a fantasy world and you play as a warrior. The gameplay in Tap Heroes focuses on combat, in which you participating by quickly clicking on the enemies (to attack them), the members of your team (to heal them), and golden coins, which are the in-game currency. As the game progresses, the skill level of your characters (including e.g. a rogue and a wizard) rises; they learn new abilities and upgrade the ones they already know. They also gain special powers, which can be used in battle. As the game is very dynamic, it is also highly difficult, which is only exacerbated by the fact that when you die, you have to start over. Tap Heroes features colorful pixel-art visuals.

We control an abducted warrior, forced to take part in brutal fights for life and death, similarly to gladiators in ancient Rome. Skirmishes take place on closed arenas, where two teams clash using wide variety of guns. The game let us choose fighters from every known race of the 41st millennium, and they must cooperate and use their skills properly to succeed. There are also some RPG features in the game, allowing us to develop characters’ skills.

Each of the journalists has a unique personality, so you need to keep in mind that not all of them will follow your decisions and views, which in practice may lead to protests or dismissals. The game features a simple, monochrome graphics with a gloomy atmosphere reflecting the vibe of a totalitarian country.

The story campaign consists of 58 missions, during which you have to capture the enemy buildings and build your own, enlarge your army, and claim as much land as you can. The mechanics are similar to those from the first installment of the series, although the game features some new elements, such as e.g. new buildings and abilities, interactive objects, etc. Apart from the single-player mode, Mushroom Wars: Space! also features a multiplayer mode for 4 players. The visuals are simple, colorful and cartoonish, which only underscores the humorous character of the game. Both the characters and the scenery are displayed in 2D.

An isometric shooter developed by Modern Dream in cooperation with Team 17, the authors of the cult-classic Worms series. The story takes us to 1970s, enabling us to assume the role of police officers that fight against crime that plagues the streets of Los Angeles. We are given several different heroes that are characterized by different backgrounds and abilities. The action is seen from a top-down perspective, while the assigned missions see us explore various buildings divided into smaller rooms. Our goal is to clear the area from opponents and rescue the civilians found on site. Our heroes can make use of a few types of weapons, but employing effective tactics and using the destructible objects and natural covers is the main prerequisite of a successful action. The game is characterized by somewhat simple visuals which were influenced by cult-classic police series from 1970s.

The player is given five helicopters that are characterized by their specialization and different behavior in flight, as well as a few land vehicles and speedboats that received their separate segments. Helicopter: Natural Disasters is governed by a realistic physics engine that offers realistic flight, as well as controls a number of smaller factors such as the weight of the transported cargo or changing weather conditions.

Similar to other representatives of the genre, the player explores subsequent levels, jumping across platforms, overcoming obstacles, searching for collectibles, as well as fighting various enemies (wolves, illuminati, or powerful bosses for example). The experience was diversified by implementing additional levels that require the player to pilot a plane or jump across the roofs of speeding cars. Apart from the single-player story campaign, the game offers an arena mode featuring online rankings on Facebook. PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist comes with retro-styled 2D graphics, notorious for large pixels. Similar to PewDiePie's videos, the game is filled with absurd-driven humor that can be appreciated to its fullest mainly by the fans of the titular youtuber.

At the same time, we must also take care of the development of our starship and its particular subsystems responsible for its efficiency and sustaining life on board. In the course of the game, members of our crew gradually gain experience and learn new, useful skills. Game depicts the ship in a vertical cross-section and was created in a retro pixel-art style.

A racing game for mobile devices, developed by Aquiris Game Studio and inspired by the 16-bit classics of the genre such as the Lotus series, Outrun, and Top Gear. In Horizon Chase, the action is observed from a camera placed behind the car, and our task is to complete subsequent tracks as quickly as possible. We have several vehicles of various performance at our disposal. With them, we race on deserts, city outskirts, and motorways. The driving model is purely arcade, while the gameplay is very fast-paced. Visually, the developers combined the camera behavior and track design from classical two-dimensional racing games with fully three-dimensional objects in the form of angular, slightly textured models. The final result presents itself quite curiously — it blends modernity with clear references to the classics. The game features a soundtrack created by Barry Leitch who composed music for the several aforementioned productions.

The Walking Dead: Road to Survival focuses on the plot and often forces you to make difficult moral decisions, which can heavily influence the story. You also have to manage the survivors. You need to take care of their further survival, develop their abilities, and choose their equipment. During the missions taking place outside the town, the survivors fight zombies in turn-based combat. Apart from that, you have to gather resources and expand your base. You also can attack the towns of other players in a simple multiplayer mode.

Syphon Filter 3 stands out from its predecessors in a slightly different way of narration and bonus arcade mini-games.

An Octave Higher takes us to Overture, the capital city of a mighty empire which has quickly grown in stature thanks to the employment of magic. The will to research this phenomenon led to the introduction of a new social system that divides people based on their magical abilities. As the system destroys the class balance, the country, as well as Overture, is in imminent threat of a nation-wide uprising. The plot revolves around three characters – a factory worker named Elise, Franz – a scholar, and Frederic, a member of one of the noble families. Each of the heroes stems from a different background, but a matter of an inconspicuous piano will connect their fates, creating a friendship of people whose adventures will shape the outcome of the inevitable rebellion. When it comes to gameplay, the game is a typical visual novel – the player follows the plot and decides upon the course of action during various situations that may or may not shape the outcome of the story.

Although the game was developed for mobile devices, it is very realistic; for example, the road surface and weather affect your driving, and a damage system forces you to fix your car from time to time. Racing game beginners may use the rewind option, which allows you to turn back time and avoid bigger crashes. The game features high-quality 3D visuals, but no multiplayer mode.

An economy simulation game by independent developer Coredumping in which we manage our own development studio. In Software Inc., our tasks include designing, building, and furnishing an office in order to provide our team with comfortable working conditions. Next, we have to recruit the right people and assign them adequate jobs, such as programming, designing, or marketing. As the studio grows, we have to constantly track numerous rankings and market statistics to balance our company’s budget, secure new distribution channels for our products, and continuous improvement of our employee’s qualifications as well as satisfying a variety of their needs. Therefore, the gameplay combines elements of Sims with an extensive economic layer. One of the production’s highlights is the large freedom in creating new applications and games for which we can select not only the genre and title but also the plot and characters.

A co-op-oriented cartoonish FPS game, set during World War II, developed by Reload Games, a studio founded by former members of Infinity Ward. World War Toons does not feature a single player campaign, instead focusing on online battles between two player teams, representing the Allies and the Axis Powers. The gameplay is similar to many other online FPS games, although there's an emphasis on controlling tanks. There are several character classes available, each using different weapons, but your choice is not binding and you can change your class when you find the right weapon on the battlefield. Despite the WW2 setting, the game is not quite historically accurate and features a large dose of humor. The high-quality visuals have been created utilizing the Unreal Engine 4.

Lynn and the Spirits of Inao is a 2D platform game developed by the French studio Bloomylight. The game takes place in the magical land of Inao where people and spirits live in harmony. Their peaceful existence is threatened by the tormented souls that, driven by pain, start to hunt mortals. It is up to Lynn, a girl who was trained by Inao's highest priestess, and her small demon companion Aku to fix that. As we play, we explore various areas, avoid obstacles and traps, and fight with the encountered enemies. We will also have to solve various riddles. Lynn an Aku have completely different skills and abilities, which plays a crucial role in facing the game’s challenges. As we progress, our heroes learn new abilities and are capable of doing new things. The game's day and night cycle plays a rather important role in the game. That mechanic visibly influences our enemies’ behavior and our powers. Lynn and the Spirits of Inao has 2D visuals inspired by the animated movies from Studio Ghibli.

The story of Final Fantasy Grandmasters can be experienced solo or in the company of other players that can be talked to via the built-in instant messenger. Compliant with the genre’s standards, the gameplay of Final Fantasy Grandmasters consists in exploration of the world, fighting monsters, completing missions given to us by NPCs, and collecting increasingly better equipment. Combat is turn-based, which is typical of the series, and we command a group of heroes in battle. Final Fantasy Grandmasters also features an advanced character development system — as we level up, we can enhance the statistics of our heroes and unlock new skills.

Fortunately, Chup is not alone — he is accompanied by his friends, Mayone and Pepperon. The game utilizes an isometric view and the gameplay focuses on exploration and collecting various items. Interestingly, your equipment is grouped by brand — it concerns blade weapons, shields, clothes, and jewelry, which are marked by fictional brand logos, such as Detton, Qloris or Fairy Electroncis. Moreover, they can be bought in the real world and then transferred to the in-game universe by NFC. Snack World features high-quality cartoonish visuals, clearly inspired by manga and anime.
