Randall is a 2D science-fiction platform game, as well as a commercial debut of the We The Force Studios. The story of the game takes place in a grim future filled with terror, in which a ruthless corporation incessantly invigilates citizens. To keep all members of the society in line, the corporation poisons their minds by drugging them with a mysterious mineral. Randall, the titular main protagonist, decides to bring down the regime, as he is one of the last people who retained their free will. During his mission, Randall can use his powerful telepathic abilities, which allow him to read others’ thoughts and jump straight into enemies’ minds. Basic gameplay mechanics follow the platform convention, and build on such aspects as exploration, getting through the obstacles, and fighting foes. The game introduces two kinds of maps - the first one features areas in the real world, while the second one comprises locations existing only in the enemies’ minds.

The debut production of the independent studio Snow Arc that combines elements of RPG and survival horror. Frozen State takes place in a devastated Siberian town where the Soviet authorities conducted experiments on advanced extraterrestrial technology. The situation got out of control, though, when the citizens had been attacked by an unknown parasite that turned humans into mutants. The action of Frozen State starts three years after the town was bombed. It is still inhabited by monsters and a handful of survivors, and we assume the role of one of them. The production offers freedom in exploration of the open world and making important decisions. While exploring, we are accompanied by robots that carry our equipment and provide additional light. The grim, dark world is traversed by ruthless bandits and bloodthirsty mutants that can be fought either in real time or in turns. The title also allows us to cooperate with or to compete against other players.

Everything has changed, however, after the fall of a huge meteorite whose shards allowed every inhabitant to practice magic, leading to a war between the nations. The players create their character, choosing from 8 races and six classes, belonging to one of the two warring factions: Ardent and Underworld. Similar to MMORPGs, the gameplay comes down to exploration and undertaking of various story tasks, for which we receive experience, gold, and equipment. However, the combat is modeled after popular card games, in which individual players build their own decks, representing characters, items, and spells.

The fans of the series should know her from the basic version of Borderlands 2 as well as from the Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage expansion. The main theme of this expansion pack is a meta-session of table-top RPG game, Bunkers & Badasses – the local variation of Dungeons & Dragons. Tiny Tina plays the role of the dungeon master and the characters known from the first installment of Borderlands – Brick, Mordecai and Lilith – join the session. During the session Tina spontaneously changes the rules of the game, including character names, boss attributes or location layouts. Thanks to that the adventures in Borderlands 2 became unpredictable. The battles are of course played in a form typical for the series, from a first-person perspective.

These are joined by other tools such as a rope, a parachute, or a blowtorch. Worms: Revolution Extreme introduces new ways of eliminating enemies, such as telekinesis, water pistol, and Boggy-B. What’s more, we can also manipulate and destroy objects in the environment. For the first time in the history of the series, worms have been divided into classes, for instance: scientist, soldier, guard, and scout. Worms: Revolution is powered by a new graphics engine that generates pretty three-dimensional landscapes.

To face the antagonist, and the coven she is the leader of, Daud has to explore the unknown districts of Dunwall and ally himself with the local gangs - Dead Eels and Hatters. The Brigmore Witches does not bring any significant changes to the gameplay, during which the player makes use of the powers brought in by the first expansion - Void Gaze, Blink, and Summon Assassin. The players can transfer their characters from the first expansion, keeping their previously acquired skills and weapons.
