Yesterday, Destiny 2 Year of Prophecy began, with an expansion called The Edge of Fate. Right after release some players were shocked at the size of the download. Of course, almost 140 GB didn't come without new content. Developers added many novelties like new types of enemies, locations and equipment. You can also complete fresh quests. Some of them, like Fallow, are hard, others are just confusing. In this guide, we'll take a look at a task from the second category. Many players got stuck at Dark Academia. Would you like to know how to progress it?

How to progress the Dark Academia quest in Destiny 2?

Dark Academia is one of the side quests available in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate. It unlocks after you progress the game. When you reach the place marked on the map, you will see a closed door. So, in the first place, you must open it.

  • You will do this by destroying three blue-glowing elements. The first one is located next to the door. The last two are a little further – hidden behind green shields that you can destroy by using morph.
  • At the end you must use Matterspark to power up the pylon, located next to the door.

This is when the problem often begins. When you go inside, you will see a globe. Interact with it to begin the quest. However, for many the mission will not progress further. It may look like a bug, but in fact the game requires very specific actions to complete this task.

Elements you must scan in Dark Academia will unlock after listening to the dialog between Ikora and Lodi after completing 22nd step of the The Edge of Fate campaign. In addition, there is another important element – in order to continue Dark Academia you cannot have other quests in progress. So, make sure that you finish all missions you have started.
