A collection of 2 remastered point-and-click adventure games from Capcom. In Ace Attorney Investigations Collection we play as Miles Edgeworth, investigating crime scenes and solving puzzles. The remaster offers refreshed graphics and a story mode with no difficulty.
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is a compilation of remastered versions of two detective adventure games from Capcom, which are spin-offs of the best-selling Ace Attorney series. The package includes Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit, originally released for the Nintendo DS console and mobile devices. It's worth noting that the second of the above-mentioned titles was never released in the West in its original form.
In Ace Attorney Investigations Collection we play the role of Miles Edgeworth, a valued prosecutor whom fans could meet in other games under this banner. In the first part of the series the protagonist leaves the courtroom and heads to crime scenes to investigate criminal mysteries. In the second installment he must face new challenges, while trying to keep his job.
In Ace Attorney Investigations Collection we watch the action from the side, from a camera positioned high above. We are dealing with pure point-and-click adventures, so the pillar of the gameplay is searching crime scenes for clues and evidence, as well as solving puzzles.
We also push the action forward by conducting conversations with NPCs, including witnesses of the investigated crimes and those suspected of committing them. The Mind Chess function deserves a special mention, which allows us to engage in unique mental battles with people we talk to. Successful conversations lead to extracting additional information from them.
When preparing this compilation, the authors did not fail to introduce additional functions. History feature allows us to return to previous dialogues, as well as to already completed chapters or scenes. In addition to this, an automatic gameplay is available, in which dialogues take place without our participation. There's also a story mode, where the protagonist independently solves subsequent puzzles, and we only observe his actions. The list of novelties is topped by a gallery containing various illustrations, animations, as well as a soundtrack from both games.
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection stands out from the original thanks to its refreshed, hand-drawn graphics. The authors focused not only on the location designs, but also on the character sprites. We can also switch back to the original, pixel art appearance of both games.

COGconnected: 80 / 100 by Stephan Adamus
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is an excellent remaster of two great visual novels. If you’re a fan of the Ace Attorney series, then these are must-play. If you’re new to the Ace Attorney series, then I recommend starting with the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. My only complaint about these games is that they’re really similar to other games in the series, gameplay-wise. And they don’t have the series’ best stories. There are also only two games in this collection, when other series collections have three. But the price is right at $54.99 CAD, and they’re great games, despite not being the series’ best. The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is a loving remaster of two fun visual novels, one of which hasn’t been available until now.
Pure Nintendo: 8.5 / 10 by Kirk Hiner
The best part about the remastered Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is that western gamers finally get to play through the second Miles Edgeworth game, which was previously released only in Japan. The second best part is everything else.
NookGaming: 8 / 10 by Wes Playfair
While Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is one of the franchise’s weaker entries, it’s still good fun, and Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit improves on everything its predecessor got wrong. Bundle them together in a convenient package finished with polish and extras, and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is an easy recommendation.
