A two-dimensional action game with designs resembling old cartoon movies, which is a debut production of StudioMDHR, an independent developer. In Cuphead, we assume the role of a gambling addict that loses his soul to the devil during one of his sessions. To retrieve it, he needs to work off its equivalent. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a 2D fighting game with a degree of platforming elements – we participate in continuous 1v1 fights, taking place on special 2D arenas. During combat we can make use of a wide range of weaponry, as well as several outfits bestowing us with special powers. Each of the enemies has his own fighting style, which needs to be countered in order for us to win. In opposition to the genre classics, our enemies are controlled by dynamic AI, making the game tough to beat and less predictable in case of replays.

An oldschool shooter inspired by arcade classics. Sky Force Reloaded was produced by Polish studio Infinite Dreams, the creators of the two previous installments in the series: Sky Force from 2004 and Sky Force from 2014. In the game the player controls a fighter jet which automatically flies in one direction (towards the top of the screen). Player is tasked with shooting down incoming enemy units and avoiding being hit or crashing into obstacles. It is a good idea to collect various bonuses which provide temporary power-ups and allows you to equip the vehicle with better weapons. In addition to regular enemy aircraft the player will face powerful bosses, encounters with which will require good reflexes and dexterity. Another attraction are the optional missions, during which one must save civilians. These missions are very risky but completing them grants exceptional awards. Sky Force Reloaded offers many varied levels and colorful special effects which enrich the graphics of the game.

Developed by an independent studio called Exor, X-Morph: Defense is an original twin-stick shooter with tower defense elements. The game shows an unpleasant vision of the future, in which the Earth has fallen victim to an alien invasion. Instead of defending the Blue Planet, the player assumes control over an Alien ship with an objective to face waves of human adversaries and defend enormous devices extracting resources and altering the Earth’s atmosphere. In X-Morph: Defense, the player observes the action from the top-down perspective, controls the aforementioned spacecraft, and erects defensive structures such as watchtowers - highly effective against particular adversaries. During the combat, the alien ship can assume four different forms, each one designed for dealing with a specific type of threats. To fight the enemies, the player can use the destroyable environment by e.g. collapsing a skyscraper to bar the way. The player can invade the Earth either alone or with another player in the cooperative mode.

A 3D platformer that came out as a reboot of one of the most popular adventure game series, featuring the titular Sonic the Hedgehog. This production was created by a SEGA’s subsidiary, Sonic Team, employing people who helped create the series and its most important iterations. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game is set firmly in the franchise's initial premise, allowing you to play as the main hero (or one of his many friends), and traverse a series of locations where your goal is not only to reach the end of a map, but also to do it as quickly as you can. For most of the time, action is presented in third-person perspective, however, the game features also also some classic 2D levels. Each location is filled with traps and opponents, but also various power-ups that can boost your score or protect you from damage.

A top-down shooter developed by Finnish studio 10tons. The title features time control mechanics. The story presented in Time Recoil starts in 1987, where the main protagonist lands due to a time paradox. During the game she must complete a series of missions in the past. This will enable her to change the timeline, save no-longer living allies, obtain lost documents and eliminate important persons before they become a threat. The final objective is to kill Mr. Time who controls a time-based weapon of mass destruction. The female protagonist can move and aim in all directions. When an enemy is killed, the time slows down. The longer the killing chain, the longer this “bullet time” is active. This mechanics introduce a more puzzle approach to shootouts – the player is trying to combine kills in order to finish their actions before the enemies understand what is going on.

The project was created by the Japanese studio Dracue Software under the watchful eye of Rising Star Games, the publisher of such games as Lumo and Deadly Premonition. Assault Suit Leynos offers a gloomy vision of the distant future in which humanity was forced to start colonizing the space to search for natural resources. However, the exploration of space led to a confrontation with a hostile race of aliens. A mech called the Assault Suit is the last hope of humanity. In the game the player assumes the role of a pilot of the machine and faces the invaders. The singleplayer campaign consists of many levels during which one fights the incoming enemy units. In order to defeat them, the player uses various weapons: machine guns, rocket launchers, laser weapons. Gameplay mechanics are based on the original game – it is a classic 2D shooter. The gameplay retains its oldschool feel but offers HD quality.

The player has to face the invaders, assuming the role of a pilot. The game offers several characters to choose from, including a British or American male, as well as a Portuguese, German or a Romanian female. Each of the characters has a different personality and biography. Also, the player chooses from among three fighter planes (Japanese, French or American) differing both in statistics and weaponry. The story campaign comprises of a set of missions, during which the player fires at incoming enemies, drops bombs on ground targets and avoids enemy fire. The players have three fire modes at their disposal, allowing for continuous fire, shooting in bursts and launching rockets. Each of the cannons can be upgraded. Every level has their own setting and ends with a boss fight. What is new in Raiden V, is the Cheer System allowing another player to join the game at any moment.

A mobile arcade shooter featuring endless runner mechanics, distributed in a free-to-play system with not too obtrusive microtransactions. Shooty Skies was developed by the same team that was responsible for the surprisingly well-received Crossy Road. This time, the player takes control of a character in a flying machine – at the beginning, you’re a cat in a monoplane – and shoots down enemies (including arcade cabinets, giant mouths, huge beavers, computer monitors and such) approaching from the opposite direction as long as he can. Shooty Skies is discerned by its interesting controls. The plane fires automatically, but to move it, we need to swipe our finger. Releasing the finger launches a powerful rocket attack – useful when fighting more powerful opponents – which sadly exposes us to enemy fire, which adds certain tactical depth to this small arcade game. During our run, we encounter various upgrades and items spawning allied wingmen. Shooty Skies is also distinguished by its colorful visuals, build from huge voxels.
