An unusual logic game developed by Zachtronics, an independent studio known from niche titles such as Ironclad Tactics or SpaceChem. Infinifactory is an attempt to expand upon the ideas found in Spacechem, with first-person perspective and in a three-dimensional environment. We assume the role of an employee of an unusual factory owned by an alien race. Our job is to create various items from parts appearing on the assembly line. We can manipulate the plant through pushing, moving, rotating, or connecting various elements. If needed, the manufactured element can be stamped or discarded, however, be warned – failure to deliver orders may end with the player’s death. Aside from the story mode, the authors introduced a sandbox mode that enables us to create our own projects which then can be shared with other players.

A simple logic arcade game and at the same time a mobile application accompanying the fourth major entry in Ubisoft’s Far Cry series. Far Cry 4: Arcade Poker combines rules of the classic poker with features of a classic arcade game like Tetris. Players must assemble poker hands from falling cards before they reach the bottom of the screen. We drag the pieces we need into correct place, while those we have no use for can be exchanged for others with a single tap. This simple concept is varied through the addition of many power-ups. Naturally, every poker combination earns us points, and we are given additional tasks and high-scores to beat on later levels. One noteworthy thing is that virtual currency won in this game are sent to our character’s account in Far Cry 4.

A video game adaptation of the Magic: Origins card game from Wizards of the Coast, developed by Stainless Game. Unlike the earlier digital renditions of Magic: The Gathering, the game is available as a free-to-play title and developed mostly through free updates. The creators changed some features in the game modes, with the biggest novelty being the return of the Two-Headed Giant variant, in which the players fight in pairs with shared life points. There is a system of dynamic missions and challenges that change not only for each user, but also for the whole community, and the new tutorial named Skill Quest lets players learn the rules easily. Deck Builder has also been improved, with in-game tips helping us in constructing our decks. Magic Duels: Origins offers Solo Battle mode to face off against artificial intelligence if we don’t want to duel with other people.

Alpha Betty Saga is another game developed by King, a studio known for Candy Crush Saga, among others. This time, the developers decided to try their hands at word puzzles. Alpha Betty Saga takes place in a world of mice, in which professor Alpha, Betty, and Barney go on a journey to collect new words to the Encyclopedia of Everything. Our task is to phrase the words from the letters scattered on a small board. The longer the word we create, the more points we get. If we phrase a word from at least five elements, we will get a special letter which will get us additional points when used. There are also various power-ups we can use that will ease the gameplay a little. Additionally, every mouse has a special ability. The developers created over a hundred levels, on which we need to collect the specified number of points within a limited number of moves. Alpha Betty Saga is a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions that shorten the renewal time of the energy needed to continue playing.

The third full-fledged installment in the popular series of logic games inspired by the cult series The Incredible Machine. Crazy Machines series was introduced in 2004 and has been developed since then by the German studio FAKT Software. The objective of Crazy Machines 3 is to construct unusual machines which must serve a specific task. The machines are constructed by using various parts which work with each other thanks to the domino effect. What’s very important, each puzzle available in the game can be solved in various ways. The new installment doesn’t change the gameplay drastically. Instead, it simply introduces more components, improved physics engine and modern graphics. It contains a functional editor which allows for creation of custom parts and levels and sharing them with the community.

Puzzle, Fantasy, Roguelike, Singleplayer, Turn-based.
A mobile logic game featuring roguelike elements. It was developed by the Nitrome studio. The game belongs to the comedy fantasy subgenre and the player assumes the role of a possessed helmet worn by an unknown warrior who is trying to make his way through the subsequent floors of a dungeon. The place is filled with traps, monsters and treasures. The levels are generated procedurally and the gameplay itself is turn-based. In order to complete a level, the player has to reach the stairway leading to the next map. On their way, the player smashes vases containing valuables, turns different switches, collects keys, saves innocents and fights enemies. Interestingly, the opponents move only when the player does and combat itself is based on very simplistic mechanics. In order to defeat the enemy, the player only has to bump into them. However, if an enemy bumps into the player, the situation is reversed. Apart from encountering enemies directly, the player is capable of luring them into the traps distributed throughout the dungeon.

Another installment in the series of casual puzzle games created by King.com. Candy Crush Jelly Saga is based on the popular match-3 mechanics and, similarly to previous installments of the series, features no storyline, focusing entirely on gameplay. The objective of the game is to conquer more than a hundred available levels by creating sets of at least three candies of the same type out of many more shown on the screen. In contrast to most other match-3 games, the levels aren’t randomly generated – instead, each of them is a carefully-planned logical challenge with candies placed in specific places and featuring unique map shapes. The gameplay is more varied thanks to the boss fights, during which the player must complete additional objectives. The game provides also means for competition between friends through internet rankings.

We Were Here takes place in a mysterious, abandoned castle in the middle of nowhere. One of the players assumes the role of a man imprisoned in a small part of the fortress. The second player has access to a much greater area and is tasked with finding and freeing his companion. To achieve that, the players must complete a series of logic and environmental puzzles based on team work. What makes matter worse is the fact that the characters can communicate only by using a radio. In addition to that, in some parts of the castle there are harsh conditions and the player can, for example, freeze to death. We Were Here can be played only in cooperation mode via Internet and with microphone. The title also supports virtual reality goggles, although they aren’t mandatory to play the game.

A logic game with arcade elements, which lets you play with some virtual clay. You play from a perspective of a child, spending time in his or her room on viewing an amazing book. Each of its pages is a new world built entirely of clay. In-game levels offer a variety of action/logic challenges, most of which are based on the physics of objects – the engine mimics the movement of clay objects quite realistically. In order to solve puzzles, you must properly terraform lands and reshape some structures, move smaller objects or mould them into something else (e.g. turn a small ball into a piece of Swiss cheese or a gingerbread man), as well as control a variety of vehicles. Claybook is very forgiving, letting you rewind time in order to fix your mistakes. Apart from solo play, the game offers co-op mode for up to four people. You can also build your own levels thanks to the in-built editor. The game’s light-hearted atmosphere is reflected by its colorful 3D graphics and pleasant audio.

Developed by a small independent studio The Young Socrates, Odyssey: The Next Generation Science Game is a logic adventure game with many educational values. In the game, the player follows the story of a girl, who along with her father, who is an archeologist, and the rest of the family were imprisoned by pirates on one of the Caribbean islands. In order to face them, the heroes decided to build obstacles on the island to stop the pirates – these obstacles, however, could not interfere with the rescue mission launched by young scientists. The player assumes the role of a daredevil, who, after hearing a radio transmission broadcasted by Kai, decides to stage a rescue operation for the stranded family. The players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay builds on exploration and puzzle solving. During the game, one might not only prove their basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, and astronomy, but also familiarity with over two thousand years of history of these fields of study. The entire experience is enriched with an original hint system that allows the players to learn along with the main protagonist.

A remarkable logic game created by Gentlymad - a German developer. In Between is rather serious when it comes to atmosphere, because it focuses on death and coming to terms with the inevitability of fate. The player assumes the role of a male who is over 30 years old and is losing his fight against cancer. According to the doctors, he has no more than several weeks remaining. Facing death, the protagonist attempts to bring his life to account - as the player, one is supposed to help him in achieving this goal. In terms of the mechanics, it is a typical logic game requiring the player to make his way through a series of levels filled with traps and puzzles. Puzzle solving is based on manipulating objects in the player's environments and playing with the in-game gravity. Simultaneously, each of the levels represents a metaphorical take on the experiences and emotions that lay within the protagonist, and references various important events from his life. In Between is divided into chapters symbolizing five stages of coming to terms with death, as described by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross - an American psychiatrist.

It is a light logic game in which the gameplay focuses on moving colorful vegetables and fruits in order to combine them into vertical and horizontal lines consisting of at least three similar pieces. This removes them from the map and gives points to the player. It also allows for completion of various side missions. From time to time the player will face a challenging boss as well. Various power-ups make the game more interesting. They make it easier to complete levels and obtain more and more points.

The action of The Room takes place in the eponymous space, in which an extraordinarily complicated safe hides many secrets. The task is to get into the safe by solving a set of logic puzzles. The mechanics boil down to manipulating the elements of the lock, and fitting a key to slots that match it, as well as searching the room for hidden items. Some of the elements of the puzzles can’t be seen with bare eye – they can only be spotted when looking through a special lens. The authors managed to retain the dark atmosphere of the original; compared with the mobile version, the changes mainly concern the graphics.

Reset takes place in a future world in which advanced technologies provide humanity with unusual possibilities. The protagonist can bend time and space and create copies of himself from the future. He uses this ability to solve various challenging and satisfying riddles in which not only intellect matters, but agility as well – some actions must be well coordinated. A high level of freedom in selection of future tasks is only an addition to the expansive, linear story told with fancy methods – including impressive cutscenes. The visuals of the game are one of its great advantages – despite the low budget, the game looks very impressively.
