An unusual logic game and a satirical take on the communism. It is the first commercial project from Lucas Pope. The story is set in a fictional socialist country named Arstotzka. The country was at war with the neighboring Kolechia for a few years, but now it is over. The city of Grestin has become a crucial point on the new border between the two countries. The player is put in the shoes of a new customs officer whose task will be to carry out border checks in order to neutralize potential smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Before giving someone permission to enter the country, the player not only has to check their papers and verify the data against a primitive database, but also order searches and inspections. Despite the simplicity of mechanics, the game features an extensive story campaign which ends in one of several alternative ways, depending on the player's choices.

With these limitations in mind, the player has to reach their destination, avoid traps and other threats, and lead their victims and police officers to the deadly traps. With time, one can unlock more playable characters and gadgets used in the game. The game features a humorous style, in which all the characters and locations look as if they were built from large bricks, while the murders themselves are more funny than terrifying.

Everything is governed by the realistic physics engine that manages the behavior of all items and the unusual controls that are characterized by significant inertia of the protagonist. Human: Fall Flat is designed not to impose any specific way of doing things but to reward creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
