The 12th entry in the popular baseball simulator series developed for PlayStation consoles by SIE San Diego. Similarly to the previous installments, MLB: The Show 17 uses the Major League Baseball license which includes numerous professional baseball teams from both USA and Canada, along with their rosters. As always, we are dealing with an extensive baseball simulator with numerous managerial features. The game offers a wide range of game modes, from single matches up to whole seasons. The campaign sees us lead the chosen team, not only during the games, but also deciding upon the choice of players, their training, and transfers. Similarly to the previous years, the player database is updated on-the-fly through a continuous connection with MLB 2017/2018 season servers. The biggest novelty of MLB: The Show 17 is the Retro mode, introducing a gameplay inspired by baseball titles from 8 and 16 bit consoles. Moreover, we are given a number of multiplayer modes.

A hilarious arcade/logic game which is the successor to the popular Tennis in the Face, created by the same developer - 10tons. The player assumes the role of the legendary player, Gabe Carpaccio, who finishes his sports career as a result of an accident and begins to sell sports equipment instead. However, the protagonist's retirement is not a happy one, because a ruthless corporation known as Explodz, which had bought Gabe's former team by having addicted its players to an aggression-inducing beverage, wishes to do the same to all the inhabitants of the town. Facing this threat, Gabe abandons his peaceful existence and reaches for a baseball bat in order to save his former colleagues and the innocent citizens alike. In each level, the player's goal is to eliminate enemies by hitting them with balls. What makes it more difficult is the fact that enemies hide themselves behind obstacles, which requires the player to make good use of the rebound effect and take advantage of environmental objects placed on the maps.

Like in most games of this type, our goal in Out of the Park Baseball 16 is to lead our team to success which can be achieved by taking care of all aspects of team management. During the game we can, among others, create a team's line-up and choose tactics for upcoming matches, participate in annual drafts, arrange player transfers and sign contracts. Taking care of a club's financial area is also important, as is hiring qualified specialists for key jobs. Unlike in the previous games, the 2016 version features the Australian national league as well as many independent USA and Japan leagues. We play as a person that manages both baseball team and its infrastructure as well as all financial aspects, among which we have to take care of the team's budget, sign new sponsor contracts or pay people that work with us. During the game we can transfer players, set training programs, create our team's line-up and create tactics for given matches. When compared to the previous games in this series that started in 1998, Out of the Park Baseball 18 has many changes and improvements such as better AI of the virtual players, injury system and team morale. Besides having the opportunity to play in matches from the 2017/18 season the game also features historical USA leagues of Afro-Americans that existed throughout the first sixty years of the XX century. Besides various modes for a single player the game also has a multiplayer mode. Additionally, the game's graphics are improved when compared to the previous titles.

Similarly to its predecessors, in the game, we lead one of thirty clubs of the American MLB league to take part in the 2017’s baseball league games. Given the full MLB license, there are actual teams and thirty existing sports arenas. Moreover, we can also play matches with classic rosters from previous seasons. The production emphasizes the arcade aspect, thanks to which the gameplay should be approachable even for beginners. R.B.I. Baseball 17 allows the players to take part in single matches and face both the artificial intelligence and other people.
