Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth: How to unlock Hawaii?
Visiting the city of Honolulu, Hawaii is one of the highlights of Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. From this guide page, you will learn when Ichiban will fly to Hawaii and how to unlock access to 100% of Honolulu map districts.
A visit to Hawaii is one of the highly anticipated trips in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. On this page of our guide, we show how to travel to Honolulu and how to start exploring this Hawaiian city, as well as how to unlock the western part of Honolulu so you have access to the entire metropolis.
Thanks to our interactive map, you will find all secrets, collectibles, and important places in Honolulu.
Ichiban's trip to Hawaii

- The story of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth begins in Ijincho (a district of Yokohama in Japan) but after a few initial hours, you'll be able to visit Hawaii. This happens in Chapter 2 - Paradise, Hawaiian Style.
- Ichiban will meet with an important NPC in Chinatown, and after that, the main character will want to visit Hawaii to find someone important to him. This happens approximately 3-4 hours after starting the story.

- The fact that Ichiban is ready for a trip is symbolized by the backpack he carries. You need to reach Jinnai Station and take the marked taxi to the airport.
- You will go to Hawaii alone - old companions, i.e. Adachi, Nanba and Saeko will not fly to Hawaii, but fortunately in Honolulu the main character will find new allies quite quickly.
- The game will not allow you to return to Yokohama for a long time, so it is worth taking care of matters in Isezaki Ijincho or visiting your favorite shops and places in advance.

- Upon arrival, you will find yourself at the airport and find out that the currency has been exchanged from yen to dollars. You will also immediately receive the first objective - you need to find a taxi driver who speaks Japanese, who can take Ichiban to the address from the received letter.
Restricted areas and unlocking 100% of the Honolulu map

- After a series of encounters, cut-scenes and fights, you will find yourself on the open map of Honolol - the second main location in the game world. You may notice that at the beginning, only the eastern part of the city is available. Bridges leading to western Honolulu are marked by red Xs.
- When attempting to cross the bridge, Ichiban will automatically turn back and comment that because of his legal issues, visiting this part of the town is dangerous.

- In the meantime, advance to Chapter 3 - The Fool. During it, you will receive the mission objective - get to District Five in the western part of the city. First, you need to visit Diamond Head bar to meet with Roman.
- The game will allow you to cross one of the bridges, but the western area of the city beyond the area around Diamond Head will still be inaccessible.

- After a cut-scene in Diamond Head and returning to Kiryu's hotel room, Chapter 4 - In the Ghetto - will be initiated.
- From this point on, the western Honolulu will be fully unlocked. You can now start exploring the areas covered by the fog of war.
When exploring new locations, pay attention to the Threat of each region which warns about the strength of the enemies residing there. It is best to leave 4 or more star regions for later and start with developing the party by fighting in other parts of the city.
