New World: Death - what are the consequences?
Death in the New World has certain consequences. On this page of the guide you will find out what happens after a character dies.
Last update:
The open world of New World makes it easy for you to get to a location where the opponents are far too strong for current character level. It often ends up with your character's death. On this page of the guide, we describe the consequences of death.
What happens when I die?

After the death of the character, you will see a window with information about what killed you, as well as places where you can respawn. These will be the nearest settlements or camp. There is no way to be reborn in the place of death – unless another player saves you. In addition to the need to be reborn in a nearby location, currently used items (i.e. armor and weapons) will be damaged to some extent. The total wear and tear of the item makes it unusable. It is worth adding that one of the ways to avoid death is, of course, regenerating health.
Another player can also save you from the consequences of death. All they have to do is approach your character and use the revive option. This way, your items will remain intact.
