New World: Health potions - how to make?

Drinking health potions in New World is an effective way to quickly heal yourself. Unlike food (whose effect is spread over time), drinking a potion instantly recovers a portion of your health. This significantly increases your chances of survival during a fight. On this page of the guide, we describe how to make health potions. Here you will learn the ingredients of a potion which will be useful at the beginning of the game.

How to craft a health potion?

To make the weakest (but great for beginners) health potion, you only need two ingredients - water and Hyssop or Bulrush cob. You will need a sickle to gather these herbs, which you can craft at a campfire or a workshop table. You can find Hyssop in forests and meadows. It can be recognized by its purple color.

Bulrush cobs, on the other hand, can be found in the vicinity of lakes and rivers. Simply locate one of these areas on the map and you should be able to find this plant there.

The remaining ingredient necessary to craft a health potion is water - you can obtain it from rivers and lakes or from wells in settlements (no tools or objects are required to collect water). Once you have all the necessary ingredients, you can go to the campfire or kitchen in the settlement and create a health potion.
