A few days ago, a new Cyberpunk 2077 update was released. It introduced some fresh features and improved old ones. Especially one of them attracted players' attention – photo mode.
Despite being released in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is still in the hearts of many players. A big part of its popularity is thanks to Phantom Liberty DLC and regular updates. Just a few days ago, we received Version 2.3, which introduced some big improvements. We can enjoy new cars, an autodrive feature (which was inspired by YouTube videos) and an improved photography mode. The latter seems to be the most welcome addition with creative fans sharing many interesting projects on social media, especially Reddit.
In contrast to a little bit unrefined (though hilarious) autodrive, it seems that updated photo mode hit the spot. CP2077 was always a beautiful game, and now it is even more visible. If you decide to scroll Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, you will see tons of pictures taken with this tool. Many of them are really creative.
Probably my favorite is recreation of one of the most popular memes with Panam and Judy. However, it is not the limit of players’ creativity. Fans can be really artistic with their works or heartwarming, giving the fitting ending to characters who really deserve that (beware of spoilers). I have even found the post, mimicking quite recent events.
Of course, we can’t forget bout the tribute to the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which is canonical in the world of CP2077 game (and recently had a teaser preparing us for the continuation, which left some community members speechless, as it features a big spoiler from the first season).
The popularity of photo mode was boosted after the recent update. So, let’s look at 2.3 patch notes. In the new version of this tool, we can enjoy:
With such high level of community engagement, and the fact that CD PROJEKT RED takes care of the universe (with Cyberpunk 2 on the way), we can be sure that we will see even more interesting pictures in the future. At this point it is possible that it is not the end of photo mode evolution. I surely hope so.
