New lines found in the code of Ubisoft's Connect platform suggest that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla may soon be coming to Steam.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla launched two years ago, in 2020. The game came out for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S consoles and PCs, with Ubisoft choosing to release it exclusively on the latter platform in its dedicated Connect launcher and Epic Games Store. The latest leak, however, suggests that Valhalla will eventually appear on Steam, where virtually all previous installments of the series are available.
This is indicated by the recently updated source code for the game's page on Ubisoft Connect. In addition to lines with information about screenshots, logos or the page's background, we find the following line: "Internal Dev/QC - Assassin's Creed Valhalla [STEAM]". The last word speaks for itself.

However, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt for now - Ubisoft has not officially confirmed that Valhalla will be coming to Valve's platform. There are no leaks of the game's possible Steam page either.
Instead, there is another, older clue - from Nvidia's GeForce Now service - which also suggested the appearance of Valhalla on Steam. This leak dates back a year ago. ResetEra user AshenOne, who shared the above screenshot of the line of code in question (originally from SteamDB's Discord server), did not fail to remind us of it. Could it be that Ubisoft, after several years of separation, intends to apologize to Valve's platform, following in the footsteps of Electronic Arts or Activision?
