Have you been waiting for the H2M mod for CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered? We have bad news for you - Activision's lawyers forced its developers to abandon it just a day before its release. The project was supposed to introduce refreshed maps from Modern Warfare 2.
Microsoft's acquisition of Activision has unfortunately not changed the company's lack of love for mods. The publisher has just "killed" the long-awaited H2M modification.
Interest in the mod was high. Player activity in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on Steam has surged in anticipation of its release in recent days. The record two days ago was 602 people simultaneously playing, compared to just 160 users on Valve's platform last Wednesday.
Meanwhile, these figures indicate that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is currently a niche product. Permitting this group of players to play on converted, outdated maps wouldn't really impact the outcomes of the newest releases in the series.
