AIM Gold in Jagged Alliance 3 (JA3) - Is It Worth It?

In the country of Grand Chien, the elected president goes missing, leading to a power struggle with the rise of "The Legion" paramilitary group. Jagged Alliance 3 follows the President's family as they hire skilled mercenaries to locate the missing leader and restore order. Take charge of this military group and embark on a mission to bring stability back to the country. To do this you will need the best of the best. And you can hire them from the very beginning. Is it worth it though? We will talk here about A.I.M. Gold.
JA3 – is AIM Gold worth it?
A.I.M. Gold is a one-time subscription for $20 000. It will allow you to hire legendary mercenaries. Of course, they are the best of the best. But are they worth it? The answer is… NO. Definitely not at the beginning of the game. For 20k you may hire few soldiers. What is more, legendary companions are worth a lot. Each of them costs from over 15 to 36k. You can hire a full squad of people for that. Remember also that once you get a person, you must pay them once again after their contract ends (to extend it). It’s a lot of money for a beginner captain.
It is also worth to mention that you will get AIM Gold for free, if you manage to complete some mercs missions. So, just wait a little bit and you will get the subscription.
Of course, once you have established a proper income and have a healthy number of mercenaries, you may subscribe to A.I.M. Gold. You can buy it at any time. Legendary soldiers are definitely powerful, but they are not worth it at the beginning.
