October will be full of big launches, and it's hardly surprising that after the recent announcements, some publishers preferred to move the debuts of their games to a later date. Especially when one of the potential October hits is a direct competitor, as in the case of Alone in the Dark (delayed to next year) and Alan Wake 2, which was showcased today through a new gameplay video.

The gameplay demonstration was made available by IGN and shows 11 minutes of footage. You can watch the gameplay below.

After last video with the series' title character, the new footage returns to the second playable character in the sequel to Alan Wake - Saga Anderson. This time the FBI agent searches the town of Watery and the "charming" amusement park called Coffee World.

Of course, this is just a fragment of one of the first missions that players will undertake in the new work of Remedy Entertainment. Nevertheless, care has been taken to ensure that the gameplay shows the most important elements of Alan Wake 2: puzzles, combat and searching for clues. And, of course, the atmosphere of horror - after all, the sequel is supposed to be a thoroughbred horror game.

Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27 for PC, XSX/S and PS5. That's when we'll find out if the concerns of the developers of the new Alone in the Dark and their decision to delaye the release to January were justified.
