Netflix released a teaser for the second season of Altered Carbon, based on Richard Morgan's science fiction novel series. All eight episodes will debut on February 27.
Netflix took its sweet time before releasing the first teaser of the second season of Altered Carbon, but here it is at last. A short teaser of the next part of the production based on Richard Morgan's science fiction novels has just debuted online. The teaser presents the new shell of the main protagonist, Takeshi Kovacs, played by Anthony Mackie, known, among others, for his role of Falcon from Marvel's cinematic universe.
The action of the second season of Altered Carbon will take place several decades after Kovacs and his companions solved the mystery of Laurens Bancroft's murder. A former soldier of an elite interstellar unit, already in a new body, will return to his home planet, Harlan's World, to find his beloved one - the former leader of an anti-UN rebellion, Quellcrist Falconer. However, it won't be an easy task, as the hero's past will once again makes its presence felt. Fortunately, he will also meet some old friends on his way, like the AI called Poe.
The showrunner of the second season of Altered Carbon, which will debut February 27, is Alison Schapker, who in 2018 replaced Laeta Kalogridis, responsible for the shape of season 1. Apart from Anthony Mackie, the new episodes will feature Simone Missick, James Saito, Lela Loren, Dina Shihabi, Torben Liebrecht, Chris Conner and Renée Elise.

It is worth noting that the second season of Altered Carbon is just the beginning of the attractions that await the lovers of Richard Morgan's work in the near future. Netflix is planning to release an animated series set in this universe. A pen&paper RPG based on the universe created by the British writer is also in preparation.
