Apex Legends Season 11 Attracted Crowds of Players on Steam

The start of Season 11 in Apex Legends has attracted hundreds of thousands of players to Respawn Entertainment's battle royale.

It's no secret that gaming events can attract crowds of interested parties. Apex Legends proved that a few months ago. It is no different with the launch of season 11, thanks to which the battle royale from Respawn Entertainment ended up among the most popular games on Steam.

Apex Legends is a regular visitor in the top ten lists on Steam. Every day the game is played by an average of more than 120 thousand users of the platform. In turn, after the debut of season 11 and the new legend, at the peak moment 318 thousand players had fun together. The last time the the game exceeded the threshold of 300 thousand people was in August, also on the occasion of the start of the new season.

Currently Apex Legends is the fourth most popular game on Steam, marginally behind PUBG Battlegrounds and the undisputed kings of the platform: Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Both of these titles boast far more players most of the time than any other production in prime time, let alone taking into account peak moments. The other thing is that neither of them is available outside of Steam - in the case of Apex Legends there are three more consoles to choose from (five if you count backwards compatibility on PS5 and XSX/S).

In addition to a new heroine - mechanical, but still alive Ash - Season 11 brought an island map (Storm Point) and a weapon (PM Car SMG). Apart from that, we got an update to rankings, bug fixes and changes to the game balance. The latter include mainly redesigning Wattson, to make her less passive in combat, and weapon modifications. Details can be found on the game's official website.
