Arkane Studios Reveals Release Date of Deathloop

We may have found out when Deathloop will launch on PlayStation Store. Arkane's latest work is expected to be released next May.

Update:

Bethesda has officially announced that Deathloop will be released on May 21, next year, the day after New Zealand's PlayStation Store reported.

Original message:

It's possible that we finally got to know the release date of Deathloop, a new game from Dishonored devs at Arkane. The game is to be released on May 20, 2021. This date was revealed by update of the game's page on New Zealand version of PlayStation Store.

The game is scheduled to debut simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 5. This is important as Arkane Studios is now owned by Microsoft after it bought out ZeniMax Media. The new owner, however, announced that it does not intend to break off its previous exclusive contracts. Therefore, for the time being there is no mention of Deathloop's version for Xbox Series X/S. However, it is only a temporary exclusive, so after the contracted period is over, the game will surely also go to MS consoles.

The game was initially supposed to launch this year, but a few months ago it was announced that it will be released only in 2021. The devs were forced to make this decision by delays in work caused by the need to switch to remote work, which was forced by the coronavirus situation.

Last but not least, two editions of the game are available on New Zealand's PlayStation Store:

Standard Edition:

The pre-order of standard edition will include:

  1. One Trinket (equippable buff);
  2. Character Skin: Storm Rider (for Colt);
  3. Unique Weapon: Royal Protector Machete (PS5 Exclusive).

Deluxe Edition:

The deluxe digital edition pre-order provides:

  1. Unique weapons: Eat The Rich Tribunal, .44 Karat Fourpounder and Transtar Trencher (PS5 Exclusive);
  2. Character skins: Party Crasher (for Colt) and Sharp Shooter (for Julianna);
  3. Two Trinkets (equippable buffs);
  4. Original Game Soundtrack Selections

It should be stressed that this is only about digital editions. No doubt, other special editions of the game are also being prepared.
