Deathloop May Get a DLC or Sequel

The actor who voices the main character of Deathloop hinted that there are plans to continue the story.

It is quite possible that Arkane is preparing something new for fans of Deathloop. It could be either a DLC or a second part of the series.

  1. The source of the information is actor Jason Kelley, who provided the voice of Colt, the game's main character.
  2. In an interview with the Streamily channel, the actor was asked about what was the code name of Deathloop. Kelley said that he could not reveal this, as he and other actors are still employed to work on a project with this title, suggesting that Arkane is currently developing something new from the brand.
  3. After this statement, Jason Kelley apparently realized that he had revealed too much and surprisingly said "did I really just say that?".
  4. It's hard to judge what that project could be. It's been almost a year and a half since the release of Deathloop, so it seems too late for a traditional DLC. If Arkane is working on a follow-up then we would rather expect a second installment in the series, or something along the lines of Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, which was something between a large expansion and a full-scale sequel.

Recall that Deathloop debuted in September 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PC. A year later, the game also hit the Xbox Series X/S and was simultaneously made available viaGame Pass, both on PC and XSX/S.

The gamewas warmly received - on OpenCritic, it has an average rating of 88%.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that as part of the winter sale on Steam, Deathloop has been discounted by 67% until January 5.
