Deathloop Guide

No rest for the wicked Deathloop guide and walkthrough, contains Beginner's Guide and best tips for combat, power, exploration, time loop, death and character development. We describe all boss fights, finds, trophies and system requirements.

Last update: 23 September 2021

The Deathloop guide contains a set of information that helps to understand the most important principles of the gameplay, as well as to complete all stages, successfully eliminate all the main objectives of the mission and discover 100% of the available content.

The first big chapter is the game guide, which focuses mainly on discussing the unusual formula of the game. The following pages of the guide explain what are the cycleshow the mechanics of rebirth work, how much freedom does the player have, what are final victory requirements in the game, or what weapons and powers are available for the main protagonists. The guide is complemented by a FAQ section that answers a number of common questions, among others, is Deathloop is a singleplayer game, can I save game, and how invasions of other players' worlds work.

In our guide you'll find walkthrough descriptions for all main and side tasks. It is worth noting that in the game there is a lot of freedom of when to access them and in what order. The guide contains extensive tips and hints how to kill 8 main antagonists for the purpose of completing the main storyline. The walkthrough description is complemented by information on collectibles and secrets available in the game.

You will also find the trophy guide which explains how to easily unlock all the achievements and how to earn the platinum trophy in Deathloop. We also included information about controls, system requirements, similarities to the Dishonored series, and how long does it take to complete Deathloop.

Deathloop: Beginner's tips

  1. Don't try to discover all the content right away. In most cases, this will not be possible without prior preparation. In other cases, locked areas may become accessible at other times of the day. Deathloop is built in such a way that you will return to the same areas dozens of times throughout the campaign to discover new things and examine new clues.
  2. Do the Ubiquity trail right after finishing the prologue. It is extremely important because it will allow you to save individual elements of equipment between cycles by spending Residuum.
  3. Unlock the Shift power as soon as possible, which is by far the most useful and versatile of all that Colt can have. By default, Shift can be obtained by eliminating Charlie (one of the Visionaries - bosses), but it can also be a random reward for defeating Julianna.
  4. Tag the spotted opponents (down on the d-pad). This will allow you to follow their actions even after they disappear from your field of vision, reducing the chance of encountering them by accident. In addition, you can "scan" them and learn, for example, about their equipment.
  5. There are several different paths leading to most of the locations. Do not get discouraged if the path you have chosen seems very difficult. You can, for example, try to get to the roofs and high balconies or look for another entrance to the building associated with the current mission.
  6. Hack all detected sensors (cameras) and turrets. Colt starts the game with Hackamajig, a gadget with unlimited use. Hack sensors to avoid triggering alarms. Hacking turrets can also make them attack enemies.
  7. Prepare for each subsequent run. You can do this in the tunnels visited after each mission. Set a good time of day for the task, put new or the best-suited gear in the active slots, and try to Infuse the newly acquired valuables.
  8. React to the message informing that Julianna has appeared - she can be controlled by AI or another player. You should quickly prepare a good weapon, heal the hero and try to reach a place from where you can spot the antagonist more easily and attack her first.
