New Game by Nier: Automata Devs Flopped

The premiere of the new game by PlatinumGames passed without an echo. The lack of interest in Babylon's Fall can be clearly seen in statistics on player activity.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Babylon's Fall, the new game from the creators of NieR: Automata, has launched;
  • The release passed without an echo;
  • At the hottest moment of the day, only 650 players launched the title on Steam.

Yesterday a new game by PlatinumGames debuted on the market. We are talking about Babylon's Fall, the next work of the creators of the well received NieR: Automata..

If you are not a fan of the Japanese studio, you probably have not heard about the game at all. It is possible that there were more such people, because its launch went completely unnoticed.

Nobody waited for Babylon's Fall

The scale of the game's failure, published by Square Enix, is best demonstrated by the stats from SteamDB. We learn from them that at the hottest moment of the day only 650 players launched the game.

The game enojyed slightly more interest on Twitch, where broadcasts were watched by up to four thousand people. However, it did not last long and now the number of viewers has fallen dramatically since.

The ratings of players on Steam do not fill with optimism either. At this point, user reviews are mixed (53% positive feedback). However, it should be remembered that due to low interest there are only 63 of them.

In the comments we can find many voices of disbelief that the extremely weak Babylon's Fall comes from the team responsible for NieR: Automata and Bayonetta..

All this makes that both developers and players will probably want to forget about the game as soon as possible.
