Bannerlord Finally Got Banners
Bannerlord is slowly getting out of early access, and the developers are putting the finishing touches on everything. One of the features is the addition of the eponymous banners to aid us in combat.
The developers at TaleWorlds Entertainment have published details of the update labeled Beta e1.9.0. Among the numerous fixes and changes, there is mention of the addition of Banners and the units that will carry them to Bannerlord. They are available to heroes and clan members in the form of an equipable item, on a designated slot. Using them gives advantages in battle.
Further on, the developers explain that banners can be earned by performing certain tasks - such as defeating nobles, eliminating hideouts or reaching milestones in the campaign. 45 different banners are available to players and each has different properties. The banner party will bestow them on everyone in a given formation.
The fact of the relatively late appearance of the eponymous banners was pointed out by Reddit users. The author of the thread made a meme on this occasion (posted below), and the others noted that the creators could take care of completing the content under the second part of the subtitle, i.e. lords.
As a reminder Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord debuted in early access in March 2020. The actual release is scheduled for October 25, this year.. The game will then be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
