What to do to get your wife pregnant in Bannerlord? In this guide you will learn all about having children in this game.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a very popular game that perfectly combines elements of strategy and RPG. In the course of the game, we establish a clan, try to make it stronger, complete quests and, of course, fight in epic clashes against enemies. For our clan to last longer, an heir is needed. Some players note that even after waiting for a long time in Bannerlord, their wife does not get pregnant. In this guide you will learn how to have children in the game.

Wife not getting pregnant in Bannerlord

If you want your clan to have a heir, you need to find a wife and have a child with her. Unfortunately, the latter part is not as easy as it turns out. In order to beget an offspring in Bannerlord you should spend as much time as possible with your chosen one. A good way to do this is to spend time with her in the same village. All you have to do is choose the option to wait.

It is worth noting at this point that during a single day spent together with your spouse there is only a 12% chance that she will get pregnant. Therefore, it is a good idea to visit her, save the game and wait a few days. If nothing happens after, say, a week, just load the game and repeat the process until it happens. Eventually there will be a message that the wife has become pregnant.

How to increase your wife's chances of getting pregnant in Bannerlord

There is a method to make your wife get pregnant faster. By default, the chances of this are 12% per day, but if our character has a level 25 Charm, you can choose the Virile perk, which increases it to 30%.

It is worth remembering that the younger the spouse, the greater the chance of getting pregnant. However, this works both ways, i.e. the older she is, the lower the chances are. In addition the effectiveness also decreases with the number of children born earlier.

The period of pregnancy in Bannerlord lasts one month and 15 days. If you want to choose the sex of the child, save the game before the birth and reload if you are not satisfied with the result.
