„Skyrim Grandma” Gets a Gift Package From Bethesda

Despite the fact that due to her stroke it's unclear how the gaming career of the legendary „Skyrim grand” will go on, Bethesda decided to take care of the well-being of the devoted fan. The studio sent Shirley Curry a big box with gifts.

Remember the famous "Skyrim Grandma"? Shirley Curry has nearly one million subscribers on her YouTube channel and until recently was posting gameplay videos for the latest The Elder Scrolls game. At the turn of February and March, the news broke on the Internet that the woman suffered a stroke and remembers little of how to function in the world of Skyrim.

Her gaming career was put in jeopardy, but fans all over the world have sent her messages of support and wishes of speedy recovery. Bethesda, the studio responsible for the TES series, also rose to the occasion.

A big package of gifts

A vinyl record, special graphics, a cookbook and many other unique items referring to Skyrim were included in the package that Curry received from the developers. The senior gamer informed about the gift in a Twitter post, which we've included below.

As announced, "Skyrim Grandma" recorded a special vlog post, in which she once again showed off her gifts from the devs.

In the video, she once again thanked everyone who had supported her and the developers, especially Jessica Finster, who had sent Curry a handwritten note in the package.

Even before the youtuber's health problems it was known that the members of Bethesda and, above all, fans of their games think about the woman. An expression of this is to be her presence in the next installment of The Elder Scrolls as an NPC.

This is the result of a petition, which was signed by nearly 50 thousand people. As a result of this initiative, the popular gamer went to the headquarters of the studio, where she met with Todd Howard, chief creative officer of Bethesda Game Studios.
