On her YouTube channel - where she has nearly one million subscribers - the "Skyrim Grandma" also wrote that she is recovering and has no idea when she will be able to play her favorite game again. At the same time, she thanked fans for their response and concern.

Reddit was flooded with posts from users wishing the youtuber a speedy recovery. Players emphasize how important her work is for the whole community.

"Her positive influence can be felt everywhere, regardless of whether she continues to play or not. She sets a great example of what gaming is for all of us. I wish her a speedy recovery," wrote user OnlyANinjaCan.

"If she's not the most dedicated Skyrim player then I don't know who is!," replied GetitBish.

Shirley Curry to appear in TES 6

In 2019 we learned that Shirley will likely appear in the next installment of The Elder Scrolls as an NPc. This is the result of a petition addressed to Bethesda, which collected almost 50 thousand signatures. Soon after, the famous "grandma" went to the studio's headquarters, where she met with Todd Howard, chief creative officer of Bethesda Game Studios. It is worth mentioning that the youtuber is already present in Skyrim thanks to a mod, which gives us the opportunity to recruit her as a companion in the game. The modification also adds a brand new quest and dialogues.

Let's hope that "Skyrim's grandma" will soon recover and will be able to enjoy the game and entertain her fans again.
