Borderlands 3 – Realease Date and Collector's Edition Contents

We've learned the release date of Borderlands 3. We also know the contents of the collector's edition of Gearbox Software's latest title.

Yesterday's reports have been confirmed. The Borderlands 3 advertisement appeared on YouTube, which cites September 13, this year as the release date. For the time being, Gearbox Software has not commented on this issue, but it is only a matter of hours. This is because this evening the team is supposed to reveal a lot of new information about the project.

It is worth mentioning that the Epic Games Store logo appears in the aforementioned advertisement. This may suggest that Borderlands 3 will be another title whose PC version will debut only on the said store. It should be noted, however, that the video also fails to mention the consoles, while the title is known to be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Game covers have also appeared on the web, so we know that in addition to the standard version Borderlands 3 will also receive Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions. There will also be a collector's edition, which it will offer:

  1. full version of the game,
  2. steelbook,
  3. a season pass,
  4. a set of gold skins for armament,
  5. additional digital content,
  6. a replica of the Diamond Plate Loot Chest,
  7. 10 figure of a character,
  8. 5 lithographs with pictures of the character,
  9. 4 pendants,
  10. a canvas map.

For the time being we do not know the price of the collector's edition. We also don't know what the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions will offer.

Finally, let's remind that Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, the refreshed edition of the first installment, will debut on the market today. At the same time, free Ultra HD Texture Pack updates will be released to improve textures in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
