Modern Warfare 2 Launch - Preload, Requirements, Release

Developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II are, in some respects, preparing for us a historic installment of the series. The biggest change that the players will experience is that the next CoD will not be released until two years from now (so far they have been coming out year after year). The lack of a new title is supposed to be compensate for with the alleged major DLC for MW2 and a set of refreshed maps from previous titles.

But before we find out what the developers are really preparing for us, let's focus on the upcoming release of MW2.

1. The game's official debut will take place on October 28.
2. Those with less patience will face the chance to start the adventure with the campaign already this Thursday, i.e. October 20..
3. For this to happen, one condition must be met - pre-order the digital version of the game (valid on all platforms).
4. You can download the aforementioned campaign in advance today (October 19) from 10 am PT.

Meanwhile, the full version of the game will be available for download at different times for different platform owners. Below you will find a detailed schedule:

• Xbox: October 19, 10 AM PT
• PlayStation: October 20, 4 AM PT
• PC: October 26, 10 AM PT (Steam, Battle.net)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - bonuses in multiplayer modes

For the daredevils who successfully complete the game's story campaign, Activision Blizzard has provided a whole set of cosmetic items for multiplayer modes and double experience tokens this year. This means that you will be able to enter online competition will beefed up character. The online competition will kick off on October 28.

1. Multiplayer in MW2 will offer the players 12 modes (10 traditional and two Ground War).
2. The Special Ops option will initially provide 3 maps. Major online content update for MW2 is expected on December 14 - on that day the first raid will hit Special Ops.
3. There will be 25 Operators and more than 50 unique weapons waiting for the participants in multiplayer.

What is extremely important - the actual, 1st season of competition will start on November 16 (until November 15 will last the so-called Pre-Season, within which we will unlock various goods). On the same day the 2.0 installment of the well-known Warzone, which will enable us to test, for example, a completely new mode called DMZ, will launch. Battle Pass will also be waiting for players.

It is worth noting that after the recent adventures with exorbitant specifications (A Plague Tale: Requiem and Gotham Knights), Modern Warfare II will give our PCs some rest. Probably a big influence is the fact that it's a cross-gen title.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be available not only on PCs, but also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
