The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion needs no introduction to anyone. It is a classic of the RPG genre, and for good reason. For a few days now, fans can enjoy a refreshed version of the game in the form of Oblivion Remastered. Of course, the new iteration attracted many new players who are eager to explore this world. Some of them even wonder if there is a possibility of romance with other characters. After all, this is now, you might say, standard in the genre. In this article you will find the answer to this question.

Can you romance in Oblivion Remastered?

Players who fell in love with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may be used to the fact that there is the possibility to romance NPCs. After all, even weddings are possible there! The snag is that while Oblivion Remastered looks insane (after all, the game was ported to Unreal Engine 5), aside from small improvements, it's important to remember that it's a remaster and not a remake. This means that most of the game has been left unchanged, except for refreshed visuals and some mechanics.

And back in the original version of TES IV: Oblivion, romancing or getting into relationships with characters was, unfortunately, impossible. It's worth noting that this game was released in completely different times, when RPG genre didn't focus as much on romances as it does now. It was only with time that this gameplay aspect became so popular. So, if you expect your character to be able to be in a relationship with others in Oblivion Remastered, the answer to that is, unfortunately, no. Maybe in the future, mods will be created that will make such a thing possible.
