Cattle and Crops Collects Good Reviews

Released last week, agricultural simulator Professional Farmer: Cattle and Crops was warmly received. Players praise realism and fresh solutions, although they complain about a small number of machines.

Last Thursday, the full version of Professional Farmer: Cattle and Crops, a farm simulator developed by the German studio Masterbrain Bytes, launched. Enough time has passed since then to check whether the project has fulfilled the hopes placed in it.

The reception of the game is good for now. On Steam, 78% of ratings from the last 30 days are positive.Total average of reviews is 71%, so it is clear that the full release has been warmly received. Let's see some examples:

Sample reviews of Cattle and Crops

"SO i have played alot of FS and C&C is good in some areas, and needs work in other areas. The ground deformation is a plus but the implements could be more. Hope to get some mods for this game. Its very detailed for what it has currently and has a high chance of being one of my favorite simulation games out there."

TL;DR: If farming games were Legos, then Farming Simulator would be your Lego City set (such as 60223) while Cattle & Crops would definitely be a Lego Technic, complete with motors, smart control, bluetooth connectivity and articulated tracks (such as set no. 42100 for example). For the same price.

For the sake of balance, it is also worth quoting some negative reviews:

"So as promised, Masterbrain has released V1.0. Has my opinion changed after playing the new version? Unfortunately, not really. I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for a complete experience, because Cattle and Crops is not a complete experience and not worthy of the version number "1.0" at this time."

"This game had (has?) promise, but the development is incredibly slow. The project is very ambitious, which I guess is what drew me to the game, but I'm guessing the team behind the game are to few with too much to do. Currently the game is in an alpha state... Many, many bugs and a lot of missing content. You are very limited within the game. This game is by no means worth the price tag."

It is worth adding that the release of the full edition has also positively influenced the popularity of the game. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 1276 people were playing Professional Farmer: Cattle and Crops on Steam at the same time. When the game was in early access, dailt records this year never exceeded 100 players. It's worth noting that these numbers don't include all buyers, as it's also sold on GOG.com.

Let's recall that the full version of Professional Farmer: Cattle and Crops was released on October 18 this year. Previously, the game was available in early access for two years. The game is available only on PC.
