Today, CD Projekt Group presented its plans for the future during a special investor conference and outlined a business strategy designed to encourage investors to support the company further. One of the more interesting news, which was made public during the event, is the acquisition of Digital Scapes, a development studio based in Vancouver, Canada. The purchase has not yet been finalized and depends on both parties fulfilling specific conditions, which remain a trade secret.
The Digital Scapes team consists of over a dozen specialists and for the past three years has been working closely with CD Projekt RED on Cyberpunk 2077, assisting in the development of some of its elements and optimizing the gameplay. The acquisition of the studio by the Poles is sealing and expanding the existing cooperation.
Digital Scapes will change its name to CD Projekt RED Vancouver and will officially become CD Projekt's fourth studio, following branches in Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Krakow. What exactly the team will do in the future is not entirely clear, but its bosses plan to hire more staff.
