The artist

The person responsible for these illustrations is Turkey-based architect and environmental concept artist Anil Gunduz, who published them on Behence (a website for artists).

SpaceX and Meta Quest?

The buildings visible in the picture no. 3 sport logos of SpaceX, Hyperloop and virtual reality sets from the Meta Quest family.

  1. The presence of the Web 3.0 slogan suggests that the game may be based on the NFT technology.
  2. It is unclear if this alleged Crytek project is created in collaboration with the aforementioned companies, or if these logos - along with the slogan - were simply added by the artist himself.
  3. Considering the fact that the designer also immortalized his own name (Anil) on the picture, the second theory seems more likely.

What about the mysterious project?

The last of the graphics was published a few days before the official announcement of Crysis 4. Due to the fact that the action of the games from this series is usually set in the jungle - including a concrete one - these artworks are unlikely to come from Crytek's flagship series (unless it's from the leaked late 2020 Crysis Next, which is nowhere to be found).

We also cannot rule out the possibility that the mysterious project has already been canceled. If it was indeed to be based on the NFT technology, Crytek may have decided to throw it in the trash as interest in non-exchangeable tokens has significantly dropped in recent times.
