Crytek Warns: 'Don't Use This Glitch'

Users have discovered a bug in Hunt: Showdown, which, when properly exploited, can spoil the fun for other players.

1. The problem concerns the LeMat Mark II weapon. If, while wielding it, we quickly switch between shooting modes (classic revolver and shotgun), then after some time they will be activated simultaneously. As a result, each pellet from the shotgun is treated as a bullet from the revolver. The result is an exceptionally lethal gun without the usual shotgun spread.
2. The advantage that a weapon with this bug gives you is so great that there is practically no point in competing with someone who takes advantage of the bug.
3. Crytek has already announced that they are working on a fix, which is expected to be released shortly.
4. The authors warn players not to exploit this bug, as they are able to recognize who does this and such people will be punished.

Problems with LeMat Mark II caused a big stir on the Internet as Hunt: Showdown has a large fan base. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, the game was played on Steam by over 19 thousand concurrent users. What's more, the game's popularity has remained stable for many years.

We have become accustomed to the fact that Crysis is Crytels most recognizable brand, but Hunt: Showdown can be safely regarded as an equally important IP. The game is being constantly developed, regularly receiving new updates and additions, and the fan community is very active, producing numerous fanart and cosplays.
