Cyberpunk 2077 Tested on Various CPU

A video summarizing the performance of individual CPUs in CD Projekt RED's latest game has appeared on YouTube.

The AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X CPUs did the worst in testing.

Youtubers from Gamers Nexus channel prepared a performance summary of various processors in Cyberpunk 2077. It turns out that relatively modern processors with at least six cores are able to provide decent performance and the most common performance limiting factor is the GPU.

In most tests, two CPUs from AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 and Ryzen 3 3300X - have fared worst, but even in their case, the average and minimum fps values are quite decent (although less than 60). What's more, on these CPUs, the 1% Low and 0.1% Low indications, showing the lowest recorded performance, change very slightly after increasing the level of detail to Medium.

There are no surprises at the top of the list - the best performance in Cyberpunk 2077 will be provided by such processors as Ryzen 9 5900X, Core i9-10900K, Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X. What's interesting, after increasing resolution and visual details, older Core i7-9700K, Ryzen 7 3700X and Core i9-9900K units do not differ drastically from top-of-the-line models.

One more detail is worth noting - in the case of two processors (Intel Core i5-8600K and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X), experts noticed unusual, uneven time intervals between displaying successive frames of animation (so-called frametime). The anomaly results in visible stuttering during the game, which affects the comfort of gameplay.
