Slides from Intel's internal documentation, dedicated to the flagship CPU of the upcoming Comet Lake-S line - i9-10900K, have leaked into the web. Everything seems to indicate that the main advantage of this computing unit compared to its predecessor, i9-9900K, will be two additional cores. Performance gains in single-threaded applications are not impressive.

Intel has another reason to fear competition from AMD. Ryzen 5 3600 beat Intel's flagship i9-9900KF in a single thread performance benchmark. This is all the more surprising because Intel chipsets usually dominate this test, and Ryzen 5 3600 is a middle class CPU.
