Charles Tremblay from CD Projekt Red compared the ways of designing The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. The Lead Engine Programmer pointed out the differences in the approach to world creation and main characters. He admitted that the characters created by Andrzej Sapkowski brought distinct personality traits to the games, unlike V, who was a blank slate for the players.

Ciri or Geralt, they are fully fledged characters. They have their own personality, there are things that they will not do. While when you go to Cyberpunk, V is a more mercenary. They have more freedom about how they want to tackle the world, in an evil or good way, while it's very difficult to see Geralt starting to go GTA style, Charles Tremblay admitted in an interview posted on the All Out Gaming channel on YouTube.

The developer noticed the Polish accents (especially the folklore) that were strongly emphasized in The Witcher 3, which caused him some problems in reception. The creators faced a technical challenge when it came to designing forests and wild, living nature. It looked completely different in the case of designing the much more vertical Night City. Despite this, according to Trembley, many European elements close to the studio shine through in this American city, which is noticed by players from the United States.

Even though the developer is really happy with working on Cyberpunk 2077, he considers his best work to Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game from 2010. The pixel beat 'em up developed by Ubisoft Montreal studio is currently available in the complete edition released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
