Cyberpunk 2077 will receive another major update. CD Projekt Red has confirmed the release date for patch 2.3.
Cyberpunk 2077 will receive another big patch introducing new content to the game. After the release of the latest update, it might have seemed like CD Projekt Red, now focused on developing games like The Witcher 4 and the sequel to Cyberpunk, wouldn't be delivering a new update to players for a long time, if ever. However, it turns out that the developers have been working on patch 2.3 for some time now.
During the stream dedicated to Cyberpunk 2077 for Nintendo Switch 2, the game's developers decided to address the questions and assumptions of players regarding a potential next DLC (which have intensified recently). CD Projekt Red studio confirmed that the release of additional content for the title is planned - a major 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on June 26th this year.
However, it hasn't been revealed exactly what the new patch will introduce to the game. The last major update focused on creative features, as it added, among others, the ability to change the color and pattern of cars or additional options in the character creator. Fans are hoping that version 2.3 of Cyberpunk 2077 will finally introduce a New Game+ mode (although the developers have mentioned more than once that they don't plan to implement this feature), new gigs, or cars.
CD Projekt Red also announced that they will be hosting a special livestream at the end of June, most likely a few days before or during the release of the patch, to share some new updates. We assume that, as before, the update for Cyberpunk 2077 will hit PS5, XSX/S, and PC. Besides that, it will certainly also be released on Nintendo Switch 2.
The devs of Cyberpunk 2077, including Pawel Sasko (quest designer), underline that the update was prepared in secret and ask fans for patience regarding the release of further information about it.
