Cyberpunk 2077 Won't Take 200 GB on Your Drive; CDPR Denies Rumors

Rumors about the size of Cyberpunk 2077 have been denied. The game will take less than 200 GB on disk. Soon we are to learn the game's system requirements.

There is a rumor on Reddit that Cyberpunk 2077 may require as much as 200 GB on the hard drive to install. Its source was Nvidia's presentation, which referred to the growing storage requirements of video games, and this segment was accompanied by screenshots from the Polish game. Fortunately, these reports were denied by Marcin Momot from CD Projekt RED.

He categorically stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will take up less than 200 GB of disk space. No specific values were given, but it was promised that the game would not differ from other contemporary games in this respect.

Cyberpunk 2077 will debut in November this year.

Marcin Momot also announced that the game's system requirements will soon be known. For the time being, all we can to do is speculate on the game's size.

Increasing storage requirements of modern game have become one of the hot topics of recent months. The most striking example is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which - together with the free Warzone - has long since exceeded 200 GB. So it's good that Cyberpunk 2077 won't go that way.

As a reminder, CP2077 is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The launch is scheduled for November 19, this year. The game will also be released on Xbox Series X and PS5.
