The launch of the beautiful pixelart game Replaced has been delayed once again. The developers need even more time to meet the expectations of players.
Replaced is a cyberpunk platform game that, despite its pixel art style, features lovely character models and captures the neon elements of a futuristic, violent city. Unfortunately, players anticipating the release of this promising title must once again arm themselves with patience, as Sad Cat studio has announced a delay.
The developers didn't provide a new launch date for Replaced, only that the platform game will be released in 2025. This is another setback for this beautiful title - it was originally scheduled for release in 2022, but the premiere was delayed due to the outbreak of the war in Ukraine (most developers were in neighboring regions at the time), and later due to the aim of delivering the best possible title. This time, the developers also cite the need to dedicate more time to refining as the cause of the delay Replaced.
The initial release date was optimistic, and we apologize for that. Developing Replaced is a unique challenge, and we're proud to be creating something that special. We need more time to ensure that we meet the high standards we've set for ourselves and to meet the expectations of our fans.
Developers will offer a playable version of Replaced as a consolation at this year's gamescom. People who are going to Cologne will be able to try this title on August 21-25.
Replaced is scheduled to be released on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be available on PC/Xbox Game Pass.
