Dark Soulslike Blasphemous With Free DLC and New Game+

Developer The Game Kitchen and Team17 announced a free DLC, titled The Stir of Dawn, for the platform soulslike game Blasphemous. The add-on will introduce new adventures and New Game+ mode.

In September, it will be a year since the release of Blasphemous, an action platform game inspired by the Dark Souls series. Soon we will get a good opportunity to remember this production, because the devs have just announced a large free DLC with new content.

The add-on is titled The Stir of Dawn and will be released as an update on August 4, this year. The DLC will debut simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, i.e. on all hardware platforms where Blasphemous is available.

The Stir of Dawn will offer New Game+ mode and new adventures, items, locations and characters. There will also be a host of previously unknown enemies and bosses. The combat system will be expanded with additional finishers and counter-attack mechanics. We can also expect improved map and game balance.

An optional penance system will be an additional attraction. There will be three of them, each offering different difficulties in the game. Before the start of the game we will choose one of them.
