Death Stranding 2 won't exhaust players like Elden Ring or Dark Souls. Hideo Kojima holds patent on tough bosses but fans shouldn't expect MGS 1 style tricks

If, after a whole day of work and stress, you dream of a game that won't strain your nerves, then Death Stranding 2 might be the perfect pick for you. It turns out that the upcoming work of Hideo Kojima will offer an option to skip difficult boss battles.

How is this supposed to work? In the latest episode of the Koji Pro radio show (via Genki_JPN), the Japanese developer explained that when it comes to a confrontation with an opponent, an option to skip the fight will pop up on the screen. Instead of engaging in a difficult clash, the player will see a slideshow and a textual description of the course of the battle - something like a novel with pictures.

While it's nice to see this nod to the players, it's not as mind-blowing as the trick from Metal Gear Solid 1 with the memorable battle against Psycho Mantis, where players had to come up with some unconventional solutions. Although Kojima didn't say this, the mentioned option will most likely only be available on the easiest difficulty level. Gamers who enjoy challenging fights will still have the opportunity to test their skills, even though the fights may not reach the level of difficulty seen in Elden Ring or the Dark Souls series.

Death Stranding 2 is 95 percent complete... or maybe 92

During the same conversation, Kojima revealed that Death Stranding 2 is already 95 percent finished. The developer depicted the situation by comparing the release of DS2 to midnight on the clock. According to the Japanese, the current state of work indicates that the game is at 10:00 PM, and there are only 2 hours left until the launch.

However, if we want to be very meticulous, 2 hours out of the 24 that a day counts is about 8%, which means the game is 92% finished, not 95%. Nonetheless, Kojima will most likely be able to fully refine it for the release, which will take place on June 26th. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will hit PS5 and PS5 Pro.
