The developers of the upcoming Knight's Path RPG have dismissed accusations that they copied visual elements from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Knight's Path is a promising RPG inspired by Gothic II, currently being developed by two developers from the Czech Republic. Although the action takes place in a fantasy land, the creators draw heavily from the culture of their own country. This caused them minor troubles, as several people accused them of copying graphic elements from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers on X are disputing these claims.
In conclusion, a small group of people lacking broader knowledge attempted to fabricate a scandal, overlooking the fact that both games heavily draw from Czech medieval history.
The developers of Knight's Path also don't hide how much they were impressed by Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. One of them wrote:
I’m currently playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and I absolutely love the game! It features the best medieval world ever created, with the most natural and funny dialogues and a truly gripping story. As a Czech, I’m incredibly proud of KCD2.
Knight's Path is heading exclusively to PC. At the moment, the devs aren't ready to announce the planned release date. On Steam, you can try Knight's Path: The Tournament for free, which acts as a demo demonstrating the combat system.
