After the last update to Diablo IV was massacred by the community, the developers at Blizzard Entertainment have decided to apologize. They announced patch 1.1.1, which is supposed to fix what version 1.1.0 broke.
As announced, Blizzard Entertainment has organized a special "campfire chat" session, during which the developers of Diablo IV discussed the first season of online gameplay and the unlucky update 1.1.0 released a few days ago. Apparently, the criticism that immediately afterwards fell on the developers, worked, because they admitted their mistakes.
"We realize that it is not the best experience for players. We will never do such a patch again. We hear you loud and clear," apologized the community director of Diablo, Adam Fletcher.
"We can't weaken builds that are too strong without providing players with attractive alternatives, the game's director," Joe Shely, explained during the meeting.
Will the above promises be covered in actions? Or are they just empty words meant to somewhat alleviate hostile sentiments in the community? We will find out in time.
Nevertheless, it seems that the developers are already making some steps towards fixing their mistake.
So we can't help but hope that this time the developers will actually fix something, instead of breaking more things.
Finally, let us remind you that the next episode of "campfire chat" stream will take place this Friday, July 28. You will be able to watch the event, traditionally, on Twitch and YouTube.
