The developers of Diablo IV have confirmed that the competitive mode known from the second installment will come to the popular action RPG. However, we have to wait a bit for its introduction.

Blizzard cannot be denied its commitment to development of Diablo IV. Since the release of the game, the developers have been working to improve it (although sometimes their shots seem missed). In addition to, of course, various fixes eliminating bugs, Blizzard is systematically introducing new content that is supposed to provide players with more fun when exploring Sanctuary.

And although, overall, Diablo IV seems to present a solid level in terms of content, Blizzard does not intend to rest on its laurels. This is evidenced by the information the developers shared at the recent Roundtable.

  • During the event deputy director of Diablo, Joseph Piepiora, confirmed that a competitive mode is heading to the game.
  • Unfortunately, those waiting for this feature will have to be patient. Piepiora revealed that mode will most likely make its way to Diablo IV only with the arrival of the third season of the game. This would mean that players can expect the competition at the end of this year or early next year.

The developer also added that the team consulted with content creators and players on the matter, "to get a general idea of what they would be looking for in such a feature" (via PCGamesN).

Unfortunately, it was not revealed how the competitive system will work in Diablo IV. Perhaps it will be similar to the classic ladder known from Diablo II, where players compete for the highest possible place.

Finally, let's recall that the first season in Diablo IV will launch tomorrow. Before players can join the fun, they must install the required update, which is already available for download.
